That was a message straight from MSG email to us. WTF
martin @ 1/29/2014 12:42 PM
OK, nevermind...

wtf....
NYKBocker @ 1/29/2014 12:45 PM
weird. Why send them down to practice with D-League team for a couple of days? I think your thread title has something to it.
EnySpree @ 1/29/2014 12:53 PM
Does not make sense. They all about to get traded for Andre Miller lol
GustavBahler @ 1/29/2014 12:54 PM
Something does seem up, If they all had been playing poorly I would get this move, but its been the opposite.

We would be freeing up three roster spots... I don't blame anyone for thinking this is a blockbuster. It could also be management having no clue what it's doing. I'm betting on inept management

It had better be a good one if that's what they're planning.

I think the Knicks are just trying to mess with our heads at this point! From last nights weird episodes of Dolan taking the GM crew to the locker room to see Iman, to Beno's mysterious disappearance mid-game, to this!

There's probably nothing behind this- assigning these three to D-League wouldn't clear up any roster spots (still count as Knicks), so it must just be for practice reasons. I guess with K-Mart and Shump out, and maybe Stat not ready for full contact, they didn't have enough bodies to have any scrimmages as planned today, so they cancelled them and sent the rookies to practice with the D League team.

If it is a big trade I hope its for a quality starting PG, should be the top of list. Don't necessarily want to see Felton traded, just need a better and more consistent floor general that plays better D. The way Rondo was limping around and combine that with Boston collecting draft picks and their youth movement, makes me wonder if the Knicks are trying to get Rondo at what might be his lowest trade value, hurt and rusty.

Knicks are trying to at least make the NBDL playoffs

If this is just to fluff Allan Houston's resume I will be PO'd. They gave JR's brother a contract, nothing would surprise me.

BRIGGS @ 1/29/2014 1:29 PM
How would this help facilitate a trade--they still take up spots??

Exactly

Nothing to see here. Erie team is practicing in Greenburgh.

Yup...Knicks are getting ready to recall Chris Smith, but his head was to big for just one roster spot Seth is reporting....there is no news here.
Nalod @ 1/29/2014 1:39 PM
Erie team is on a "field trip" to the MSG training center and they want the young guys to get a full blown practice which does not happen this time of year with a banged up veteran roster.

They did it last year with the bench guys and Stat joined them in rehab.

For them to practice with them, they had to send them down for the day.

Fear the blockbuster trade BTW, its what gets us in trouble.
