Knicks · Can I Recant Everyting I Said About JR Smith? (page 2)

I'd like to recant nothing I said about JR

It's so comforting to know that a select few on the UK here are never wrong. With the numbers to always back them up.

Please keep up the good work right through the playoffs this time, New Jersey's brightest son!

trust him as far as I can throw him... and my back has been sore.

Im glad he's playing well... we need the wins, but until he gets hot in the spring he's stil the 6th man of the yea that shot 30% in the post season.

I sang his praise all year last year... got burned for that

I wouldn't trust JR if you paid me to. People are being set up for his next sucker punch.

He is shooting lights out from 3 in his pass 6 games. Coming off of screens like his Denver days. Thats's the JR I want. The near 40% 3pt shooter not the 36% shooter in NY.

JR's dunk was the number 2 top play on ESPM

His nasty, ankle breaking, earth shaking crossover was number three.

Chicks dig the swagball.

He's only playing well because it's been too cold to make it out to the clubs. He'll be back to his terrible hungover self by the spring.

Yep every year we fall for this- Like Kaiser Soze, JR Feasts greatest trick is convincing the world that JR Famine doesn't exist! JR is what he is- can look great for a stretch, and can look like one of the worst players in the league for stretches. He was great last night, and it was great to see his athleticism returning these past few games. But don't get too high, and don't get too low on him.

NYKBocker @ 1/31/2014 2:35 PM
One bright side with JR is that his sister is not punching fans anymore in the stands.

Or he can look like the SMOTY for a whole 82 game regular season. That's one long stretch.

And even when he's looking like a bonehead, he's never approaching the Chris Smith level. He'll get a few hardnosed rebounds, he'll get a dime that makes you think for at least a second.

One of the worst players in the league??? Dog is selling hyperbole, cheap.

Nike Woodson also benched Smith on Jan. 14 in Charlotte.

In his eight games since Charlotte, he has averaged 16.4 points, 5.1 more than he scored before that. During the winning streak, he's averaging 16.5 points, shooting 49 percent from the field and 10-for-18 from three-point range. He had been averaging 11.9 points, shooting 36.5 percent overall and 34.8 percent on threes.

Part of it is that Smith finally seems healthy. Until recently, he wasn't moving as well or displaying his previous explosiveness.

Did anyone see those dunks in December?

Hey, I like JR, but when he's off, he's really off (playoffs 2013)

Trade him while his stock is up! Maybe package him with Tyson and we can get some real value back??
