http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/sources-...The Indiana Pacers will sign free-agent center Andrew Bynum on Saturday, sources told Yahoo Sports.
The acquisition of Bynum could deliver the Pacers a formidable bench presence as they try to get past the Miami Heat and reach the NBA Finals.
I will love to see how wunderchild Franky "tapes" Vogel deals with this.
Good move right? Miami's weakness is in the post.
Tells me that the Pacers don't fully trust Hibbertt with being pulled out of the paint or getting in foul trouble with the refs.
They have a solid locker room. Not sure if Bynum disrupts that. I still worry about Lance with his past.

Bynum has won 2 man championships and was a 19-12 c 2 years ago this will put the coffin in the east.

I think that guy left the building awhile ago. He had a contract filled with insentives and he got suspended for conduct detrimental to the team. He also has degenerative conditions in both knees. Maybe Indy is the perfect fit but it hasn't worked for him in two consecutive stops. Who does Indy waive to sign him? If it is Cope the Knicks should consider signing him.
Tells me:
Insurance if Hibbert gets hurt.
Reduces his minutes and probability of injury.
Keeps him from signing with another team that could contend.
Indy is smart.

While I prefer a NY team over one from Miami and Indy, If this puts them over the top of Miami enroute to a championship I'll give the good folks in a small market Indy props and celebrate with them a championship!
I'll be very happy for Herb simon, Larry Bird and Donnie Walnuts if they can pull it off.
I think you'll see a different engaged, professional Bynum on a good team. Good signing for Indy. Makes them even tougher/deeper. Doesn't really effect us since we aren't in the conversation of elite teams in the East. Bynum on a crappy team (philly, cleveland) = Fail. Bynum on a team that will make a deep run in the playoffs (indy) = Win.
Bynum is a chump, he'll go out with another season ending injury.. He also can't produce vs top centers cause he is simple to defeat, slow moving, lost his ups with bad knees. overall duche as a person. I wish him nothing but the worst.
Bleacher report saying Bynum signed there.

Yes, and he's been the Invisible Man for the last 2 years and such an asset that suck azz franchises are letting him go for free.
Says alot more than what's gone on in the past.

Glad to hear about your preference. I would suppose a scene of Blatche and Russian Czar hoisting a trophy with KG kissing it while JayZ scowls off camera would make your life a bit more fulfilled than warm feelings for Larry Basketball, right?
Just for the record, Brooklyn winning a chip before we do would make me throw up in my mouth. Anyone else winning, bleh.

Noting lost for Indy then.............
If he brings nothing, nothing lost.

His money maker is on the line. Absolute perfect situation for him Indiana plays 48 minutes with two 7-1280 pd guys. Cleveland has gone to shy once they released Bynum.
Bynum is barely gonna see the court, this signing was to prevent Miami from doing it.
Admit it Briggs, Bynum could be a malcontent everywhere he goes and you can remind everyone how great a prospect this kid even when he is 30 yrs of age. When Kareem said this guy is all mental when it comes to him being great in the league but is lazy that's all I needed to hear.

I doubt that. Ian Mahini has been brutal this year--my bet is Bynum is 2nd string center as soon as he is ready--hes 5X better. They probably want to get rid of Mahini if they can as soon as they can as well for the 4mm spot to add $$ to pay Stephenson.

+1. Once Knicks are eliminated, I'm down with Indy the rest of the way. Well-built, small market team with heart and talent. Gotta love it.

what's not to love about "spunky" lance Stephenson having seizures of ecstasy every time he scores, showing up the other team like a 10 year old? Yup, definitely gotta root for Indy...
Please destroy their chemistry, Bynum.
