The Knicks should be calling about
P Jackson
Steve Nash
Russell Westbrook
Kile Lowry
Nate wolters
Ricky Rubio
Jeff Teague
Anybody other then Felton
And if anyone can send this to the Knicks front office vie e mail from the knick fans
Explore a trade for Pierre Jackson. Blue in the face over here already on this. I can't believe we're not all over this. Why?? Because he's 5'11", not 6'+??? Please...We're talking an inch here. WTF is the difference??? Dude has been ripping up the DL like it's going outta style. Scoring in bunches then ready to distribute, and distribute BIG, the moment anyone else on that Idaho team is ready to step up. Example: Kevin Murphy back in the lineup for the Stampede and goes for 51. What did Pierre Jackson do? Only 8 pts but
18 dimes.. That's no fluke -- he's had huge assist games like this before in college. Best move we could possibly make right now, for present & future. Young, explosive, exciting and the price would be less than Lowry.
--OR--
Go ahead and make this trade for Kyle Lowry. No 1st round pick, no THJ. Both are off the table. Show discipline and draw the line with those 2 assets...If they're willing to take back something like Shumpert/Udrih/Murry/cash, make the deal. I don't think they'd want that package so this probably goes nowhere....Where are their better offers? I haven't heard anything...If we trade Shumpert and still want an extra 2G for depth -- sign Patrick Christopher or Terrence Williams as a replacement. Williams just had a 50 pt. game in the DL. This guy has been unfairly maligned by so many since being drafted several years back outta Louisville. It's unjust. Thought he was a good player then and I still think he's a good player now. 6'6", strong, very solid/underrated one-on-one player, he can D up, rebound and pass the ball. What else is there? Kyle Lowry + Terrence Williams > than Shumpert & Udrih, that's the bottom line. MUCH BETTER imo. Can't see Toronto making this trade though. They're playing some decent ball, #1 team in the Atlantic (even though that's not saying a whole lot). Is Greivis Vasquez ready to assume the full-time PG duties on + .500 team? Why dump him now?
--THEN--
Sign Kalin Lucas as a backup. This guy can play -- one of the better collegiate PGs in the nation while at Mich. State. Remember him well...Felton, Prigioni and whoever else can sit for the rest of the year for all I care.

D-league performances dont always translate to the NBA....speaking of where's the d-league. where is hof'er Morris Almold?
as far as Lowry goes, Masai has made it clear to the Knicks...we dont want your players...but we'll take them with a draft pick as well.
Its to close to the playoffs to rely on D-league players. I get out there and get a PG better then Felton but talking bout having Terrance Williams produce better then Shump is nuts.

I think shump might be the next Terrence Williams. That being said, Williams looked like a cant miss pro at times and I believe he was a first round pick. Also, agree about Pierre Jackson. Heirs putting up huge numbers every night and seems to be ab after thought for the pelicans. The asking price can't be too high there. In regards to the playoffs I think you see what he can do. The Knicks with 15 roster spots certainly have shown they are willing to look at acquiring and developing guys in non traditional ways.
I have to say that the Knicks really need to upgrade the point. I want them to stand pat but the deficiency are hurting the evaluation of the other players.
The fact that Woodson tried to stick w/ Felton over Prigs in the 4th makes me question his intelligence.
When Felton is the primary PG the offense has absolutely no flow and really never has. All an opponent has to do is take away the guy's slow moving penetrating lob for an alley oop and he's got nothing; no outside shot, no D, etc...
I can't tell you how many times Felton misses the open man like thjr..and then squeezes a pass into chandler for the turnover.. Or vice versa he has very low court vision for a pg... He might be the worst starting pg in the league.. Not a bad back up for 15to20 minutes a game

Herring had an interesting stat on how productive Shump is playing with Beno versus Felton. I don't remember all of the particulars but essentially Shump had what appeared to be his slump break out performances on the texas trip when Beno was running the point.
Outside of THJ SG has been a been a big disappoint also. JR has only just started to play better, Shump has been terrible. Considering how bad the guard play has been and how injury-prone our big-men have been our record is no surprise. I was hoping Shump would have a breakout season and Felton would be better instead they've both been terrible and JR has been at his most erratic. THJ has been a nice surprise but needs a lot of work on defense. Is there a worse backcourt in the NBA?

Milwaukerr might have us beat, but at least they have young guys. Ray, Beno and Prigs are at a stage n their careers where they're not going to get better. It would've been nice if there were any solid PG prospects we could have drafted instead of THJ. I'm happy with THJs play, but man...we really need some young legs at the point.

The 2013 draft was pretty weak. Besides carter-williams burke and THJR there really wants anything worth it

Felton walks the ball upcourt in open space when he should be running and pushing the tempo.
Pulls up his dribble too early which forces other players to pick him up and compensate for the loss of valuable time.
Thinks like a shooting guard by looking for his shot before the assist
Sadly, the game has passed Felton by
Dolan said no trades remember.

he should not have ever played here even in 2010.

What is wrong with this franchise a back up center is the last thing we need...how stupid can our franchise really be... As die hard fans we need to start chants at msg during the game like get us a point guard not a back up center... Or if anyone on this board is a writer or works for the New York Knicks... Please start a petition to trade Felton for a point guard or just get a point guard ... And really we made a run at Bynum what is wrong with our front office like Bynum would help our team more then Tyler .... Next home game lets start chants "we need a pg" and "Felton sucks" ...if we trade shump for a back up center I'm going to loose it...
I am hoping it is just berman speculating. I am hoping they trade tyson for a package that includes a point.

Read that too and thought the exact same thing. With Amar'e/Martin then Tyler/Aldrich behind them, there are plenty of options for backup C. Totally agree -- it's the last thing we need. The PG spot could use upgrading. My thing all along -- I don't think we need a major trade to accomplish this. 2 sensible moves would be (1) execute a sensible trade with N.O. for Pierre Jackson and (2) sign Kalin Lucas to a contract. The Lowry deal would be a much larger trade with more important assets involved. Why not execute a couple of lesser moves just to see if we can come up with an upgrade going this route? P-Jax and Kalin Lucas are good young PGs with talent. I guess I'm in the minority but I'd rather roll with either one of these guys on the fly the rest of the way over anything we currently have at the position.

I agree I would love to go the route of Pierre Jackson, and kalin Lucas and you could prob get it done with just trading felton
Felon is just another inconsistent player on the knicks, there are times he looks great, and times he looks like a 35 yr old player.
Obviously the knicks would love to upgrade that position, but since were not deep at any position, were does the sacrifice come from?
