If you were down by one point with 6 seconds to go in the game, Who would you trust on the Knicks to make the shot?

Tough question. I would pick JR.

Moonangie @ 2/6/2014 8:21 AM
Umm...MELO.
franco12 @ 2/6/2014 8:21 AM
this season? Jeremy Tyler!
Knicks22 @ 2/6/2014 8:24 AM

if down by one, prefer not to chuck from behind the line, which is JR's game. Bargs for mid range jumper probably the highest percentage shot.

Having CA dribble into double/triple team and hoist fadeaway - which appears to be the playbook for this coach - isn't working.

Vmart @ 2/6/2014 8:50 AM
Amare
Clean @ 2/6/2014 9:01 AM
I would trust Hardaway with that shot. I would give it to Melo and let them triple team him like they always do and have Tim ready for the catch and shoot.
Bonn1997 @ 2/6/2014 9:08 AM
no one?
knickslions @ 2/6/2014 9:10 AM
Amare for sure!!
SupremeCommander @ 2/6/2014 9:40 AM
I would probably run JR and Melo off of screens as decoys and give it to THJ. Last night he showed he can nail it from deep
Nalod @ 2/6/2014 9:59 AM
JR.

I also trust hiim to make the pass.

To melo.

VCoug @ 2/6/2014 10:23 AM
I wouldn't even trust anyone on this team to run a competent play let alone make the shot.
JS3 @ 2/6/2014 10:29 AM
if you had a coach that can make a damn play then it dosen't really matter, one of those 3: Melo/JR/THJ

Ah that was going to be my answer.

If we're talking an actual play papabear then I go with Timmy

If we're talking Woodsons usual last second plays then probably JR since he made 2 of those last year while Melos been cold with the game winners for a while now.

StarksEwing1 @ 2/6/2014 3:58 PM
I know melo has made a career out of last second shots BUT the past few years they havent fallen like they have in the past. I still would make him teh frst option BUT i get upset when teher are 3 guys on him and he still shoots

Since 2003 for active players Carmelo has the most game winning shots next to Kobe.

Among players that have taken at least 20 field goal attempts in game-tying or game-winning situations in the last 15 seconds of the 4th quarter or overtime in the past 10 years, Carmelo Anthony ranks first in field-goal percentage (46.2), according to the Elias Sports Bureau. He has made 24 of 52.

His 24 field goals are second to Kobe Bryant's 26. But Bryant is shooting 30.2 percent in 'clutch' situations (26-86)."

wrong way to think, we should always be playing off 3 players abilities, with proper spacing, looking for the open man
That is exactly our problem, we constantly try to play off 1 players ability, rather than playing as a TEAM
Hitting the open man and highest % shot is the correct answer, not seeing who can get their shot off

We don't have a DOMINANT skilled player like that
We also lack speed and quickness with the ability to penetrate/finish/and facilitate to INITIATE and offense

How's he doing this year?
