Right cos we play stellar defense every night with Tyson

Agree. If the Knicks moved Tyson, Amare at the 5 might work out well. Tyler and KMart seem to be the only bigs that flourish when another big is on the floor. Is it a case of Tyson not playing well with others?

Might have won the game if Woodson did not go back to the same starting 5 after the half. They came out flat in the 3rd again and got back in the game AGAIN WITH THE 2nd unit. There was ball movement in the 2nd unit between Pablo, Amare, Tyler and hardaway. The starters were just content watching Melo go on on one or one on five
The starting line up has been horrible not just the okc game. Felton has bounced back a bit but I think it is time to move Shump out and maybe sub outTyson with the first substitution. There is no one that can score in the line up other than Melo. Pablo doesn't even have anyone to set up.

You can say the same for Chandler. Because his man almost always scores more point than him and yet he is called a defensive anchor. I believe in the Bill Russell school of thought must out score your opponent you matched up with.
You could say it but that would be wrong. All the #s indicate Chandler has out-produced his opponent - not by as huge a margin as in past years but he's still outproduced his man.

You can watch the games and see that isn't accurate. Also, the Knicks seem to be desperately trying to get Tyson motivated by feeding him a lot on offense. Too bad he doesn't seem to have good hands either. Maybe that freak in Memphis trades for efficient Tyson.

I don't know about out producing his opponent but I'm curious how the numbers reflect his blatantly watching the opposing teams guards come in for a layup without him giving any attempt to help.
Amare should be limited to about 20-25 minutes. He is playing better, but any thought of putting in the starting lineup is foolish. Let him lead the second and third units, and keep his minutes in the low twenties. I agree with the comments above that his defense is bad, which is another reason why playing him more makes no sense.
