Where is the management of the Knicks to explain this disaster. How in the world do they believe Carmelo will stay--we are in real trouble here.
In a way it's a good thing -- no way we can possibly sit back on our hands now and do nothing here. We're at the crossroads -- Knicks need to pick a strategy & course of action. Either re-tool around Melo or break it all up piece by piece and commit 100% to a full rebuild (specifically the bigger names that still have value yet may not fit here anymore -- Melo if the rebuild strategy is indeed employed, Chandler, etc.). I'm OK either way -- I just want conviction shown EITHER WAY...No way can we sit back and still talk 8th seed w/o making any moves, sneaking into the playoffs etc., as if that's good enough. B.S. man. IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH! The goal needs to be CHAMPIONSHIP. Nothing else matters. Pick a strategy and work like heck to achieve the goal. At this point, I feel a couple of wins here and there makes these guys complacent and brings false hope...I don't want complacency with no gameplan in place. I wanna see a legit plan laid out and executed step by step to the fullest. I'm willing to wait if it's done right -- I'll enjoy the road getting there. For God sakes Knicks' mgmt: stop fooling yourselves into thinking this current team is good enough!! Good enough for what? This team sucks -- a few select pieces are good enough i.e. I think we can win with Melo for example, but the man needs help. Either get him some new faces, some new blood to go to war with, some upgrades however small (great things come from small beginnings), etc. or trade him off and start anew.
You cant retool around melo. we have no assets and no money. the only way we can retool around melo is we have to waiit another year UNTIL the bad contracts are off the books. At thus point i wnat to start over. hardaway and tyler should be kept and everyone else should be traded for maximum value

I don't agree with the first part -- I'd be a hell of a lot more proactive that what our mgmt. has shown and I'd be utilizing every resource at my disposal. Turning over every stone...Other teams do this--why can't we?? I mean we have done this as a matter of fact, quite recently -- was Jeremy Lin good enough? How 'bout Chris Copeland? Look into adding a few more guys like this right now. Start here..You mentioned Hardaway and Tyler -- there are guys just as good playing in the D-league. Start there. Open up some spots and bring in some good young pieces from the DL. Small moves like that could provide a lot of answers, fill gaps and galvanize this team...If that's all we can do now, so be it. It's a start. Even if we called up a few players & came up with one viable rotation player, it'd be worth it...Next, if we haven't already -- actually look into aquiring this kid Pierre Jackson. Look at little Isiah Thomas tonight -- had an off night shooting the ball but still ran a good show and ran rings around Felton at both ends when it counted. That dude's 5'9". PJ is closer to 5'11", better game with better skills imho. There's a spot for this guy in this league. Isiah Thomas is proving that this year and other smallish guards have proved it in the past...There are pieces here to make a trade with New Orleans, either a smaller one or something larger. Look into it. Start looking into things to better this club. I'd have no problem at all if those moves were small at the moment. It's a start...GTF off your hands and go to work! I wanna see these turkeys start earning their money and if they're not up for the challenge, get 'em out and bring in qualified people to get the job done. Clear direction and conviction.

i just think ist time to move on. Melo si a great scorer but he has weaknesses in the other parts of teh game, its not his fault its just the way he si built as a player
I feel he's good enough -- this current team assembled around him save for a few pieces here and there IS CLEARLY NOT.

Joke. This dude's why we lost tonight. SMH...I was wrong about him -- I think a lot of us were..He's not up for the challenge here. Weak mind, weak game. Simple not good enough.. We desperately need change at PG.

Agreed. We definitely need to pick up a pt guard at the trade deadline . Also need to start Hardaway and put Felton on the bench to start the game

Woody: "On defense, just switch, and on the offensive end, I think we'll try an iso-melo"
Hahahahabahahaha
This team gets more entertaining with every game
I don't blame Felton. Woody probably drawing up another iso-Melo play. It make yawn too.

You never been so right. Run a fing play to get him a open shoot.

Nice take. Looking at the video again it looks like Melo is the only one really engaged meaning it was another ISO for him!
This coach is a frickin joke as are the players. Maybe an even bigger joke
How about Melo hitting the shot or hitting the open man instead of blaming Woody every time?
Seems Iso-Gay works? Iso-Joe is a clutch game finisher!
Sac has a pretty good roster. very young with talent.
Demanding management has to answer for this?
The big question is does Melo want max money and be the man in a Max city? Or take less, and be less to win WITH other players?
When I was a rec league star I often the best player on my team and thats how they build the teams in the league, if you got an AAA player, and were none left, a team could take two AA or three A players. The teams that went with two AA players usually did the best. I was young and it was fun to score 20+ and be the focal point of the offense. Eventually they changed the rules as we got older and got on a team with all my friends who could all ball. We decided we would sacrifice our games for the season and win. that was fun also.
Difference was nobody took a pay cut!

I understand your take but money was not involved. Now imagine playing with friends to leaving millions on the table.

rudy gay was the most selfish player i have ever seen this year for the raptors. i am 100% thrilled he is gone, with that said, he still is probably one of the most clutch players in the league. with an iso up top and a shot that needs to be made, i think he might rank #1 or #2. i trust him to make the shot more than lebron, kobe or durant. he has that uncanny ability. knicks-melo is not even in the same hemisphere on that account.

Or maybe Woodson can realize that Melos missed a good chunk of his last game winners and go with something different? I only suggest that because it seems like designing a play to get Melo open goes over his head.
