Yes god forbid we can be excited for any Knick player besides Melo. Unfortunetly Hardaway is the only bright spot in once again a disasterous season

IrishKnickfan, you are always trying to bring Melo into any and all of my conversations, why??...
StarksEwing1@ 2/15/2014 4:16 PM
I dont take the rising stars game as an indication he will be a all-star. But i have enjoyed watching Hardaway all year. Obviously he still needs to develop other parts of his game but his scoring and confidence is good to see for a 21 year old
holfresh@ 2/15/2014 4:20 PM
Once again has nothing to do with my statement or question...

Hardaway JR is similar to JR Smith in terms of talent and potential (when JR was younger although I think JR actually had the higher potential but lacked maturity) He seems like he is much more coachable and this will affect his future development along with his hunger/work ethic
RonRon - stop with the comparisons. Tim Hardaway jr is nothing like JR Smith in the most important areas... adaptation, poise and intelligence.
Did you watch his poised post game interview? While Kenny Smith and crew were clowning, Hardaway simply sat back. Ernie Johnson noticed and eased him back into the conversation.
No, he is nothing like JR smith.
There is more to "talent and potential" basketball than the superficial.
Agreed Earl. The kid has a good head on his shoulders and wants to keep learning. definetly a keeper

I think what he has done as a rookie only 50 or so games into his NBA career is pretty impressive. One of the best players in his draft class
Too bad he will be gone for the next Amare

Yea because it's only a slam dunk contest

gunsnewing wrote:How can a team with Melo, Amare, Tyson, and hardaway be 20-32? Can't even make the 8th seed in the pathetic eastern conference? Yea our PGs suck but there's more to it than that. Look at Chicago and Charlotte. Al Jefferson misses a month and they maintain a lead on the Knicks in the standings. Chicago loses Rose and trades deng and win at a greater clip. Brooklyn loses every player at various points in the season and they are ahead of the Knicks. Boston is doing a total rebuild and they are right there with the Knicks. Toronto is rebuilding and they are leaving the Knicks in the dust
Incompetent organization from the top down
those teams have younger, better and healthier players... TEAM Players... I mean lord, please let this this thread not be an overreaction to a rookie exhibition game.... please...

Anyway, will there be a replay of the game?
Not sure about the replay but thanks for the reminder regarding his minutes. Things are getting crazy here tonight.
oh, you should have figured this would happen... I am just waiting for the why is he not getting any HOF votes over his dad? threads... lol

THJ LOOKED PRETTY GOOD AS A ROOKIE. Knicks fans always nitpick their own til they are gone for a starphuch like Amare

He's been playing 31 mpg this month. How much do you want him to play? You're just fishing for reasons to criticize Woodson.
I agree and although woodson is deserving of a lot of criticism, I don't see any here that is fair...

the problem is ,we starphuched for amare but didn't give up any young talent for him..
now the other cluster starphuch, we gave up youth for...
gunsnewing@ 2/15/2014 5:19 PM
We let Lee walk for Amare
holfresh@ 2/15/2014 5:24 PM
gunsnewing wrote:We let Lee walk for Amare
No, letting him walk would have been a "win"...We took back/added some contracts where we later needed to trade picks to help clear cap space...
gunsnewing@ 2/15/2014 5:47 PM
Ha that's right how could I forget. Even worse

Knicks traded a top 3 protected pick and hill who was drafted 8 for the cap space to sign a big name free agent that ended up being amare

If I remember correctly we did that trade so we can sign 2 free agents at the same time. We could have signed Amare without doing the trade.

What I think we need to be taking note of is the HEART that THJ has in addition to his talent. He doesn't play scared. He believes he has greatness in him and you can see it. All of that and he's got a great head on his shoulders. Such a joy not to have another JR air head on the team. It kind of reminds me of the youth movement we had before the Melo deal. Decent young men that you could form a team with for the future.

Joy watching TJH on court. energy, talent obvious. great pick by NYK, hope he's with us long time. glad minutes are way up.

I hear you. I still have an irrational love for Ill Wil and his game.
