Does anyone know if we get to use the 5m MLE instead of the 3m MLE, then resign Melo, that would put us in the luxury bracket again?
Is this a a flaw to the new CBA or Melo's bird right's would have to be renounced?
5m vs 3m is a big difference in talent and could also be used for 2 players instead of 1

We would have to renounce Melo's Bird rights to use the $5M MLE.
if that is the case, he will likely leave with no compensation cause we will have the same squad we have this year

At least we have our 2015 draft pick and have a chance at a top 5 pick. It would be nice to have it this year especially if he is gonna leave.
