I heard Spero Dedes first say "sprained knee," then later "strained knee." Any difference? Won't know anything until he gets an MRI I guess. I know the Clippers want him -- maybe if the Knicks can get him a quick MRI and it turns out to be clear, we settle on Shumpert for Collison straight up, no other pieces involved (they don't have to take Felton AND they keep Bullock). Then we turn around and flip Beno Udrih to Denver for Jordan Hamilton (I like this deal a lot btw -- here's the Reggie Bullock equivalent right here). I could live with that. Any deal with the Clippers is probably shot now though.

Al Iannazzone twitter as of about 20 mins ago: "Woodson said Iman Shumpert is flying back to New York to get his left knee re-evaluated."
No doubt the Knicks will try to expedite this MRI and hope for the best. I bet they still pursue this deal for Darren Collison, esp. if the MRI turns out to be clear (that injury didn't look terrible -- I've seen much worse). Will the Clippers bite? Find out tomorrow by 3.

OK, so a little good news I guess. That's encouraging...Agree on Felton -- ideally, you'd want to dump him off on someone here but we may have to wait now. Maybe we have some luck scaling back the deal where it's just the principles involved -- Shumpert for Collison.
How's everyone feeling about this other proposed deal -- Udrih to Denver for Jordan Hamilton? Man, I like that a lot. That kid can shoot and we get a much younger player. I actually think we could use some more scoring and this kid can score the basketball. If we continue to play Melo at the 4, this kid would be a nice SF right next to him. Throw in Hardaway at the 2 -- that unit collectively could really score and supply one heck of a perimeter attack.

I like the udrih deal a lot also. I think if he isn't a nugget he ends up a spur. One reporte talking with Tyson suggested shump could be out several weeks. Is red dock done for the season.
I'm still a Shump fan. Would love to add Collison, but I'm fine either way. Kind of hoping Shump turns it on and realizes his potential.
It was a good idea to keep playing him through a shoulder injury, and then a hip injury when we were so determined to trade him. Another quality move by the Knicks franchise!

I'm a Shump fan, but I have been p***ed off with him this season- he's gone from having one of the best attitudes to one of the worst. Since news leaked that Dolan had taken offence to him and wanted him traded, Shump seems to have taken it so personally it's messed with his head- the damage is done now, I just don't see us mending that bridge so we have to move him. I think he would be awesome on that Clippers team.
