Is this a setup by knicks management to get out from under his contract?

Sorry, this season has made me numb to misfortune. No one got hurt though, but this was a very stupid move on Felton's part.

It's hard not to feel bad for the guy, he's had a train wreck of a year: killed in the media for his game, wife left him, now this.

But is it too early to start talking about what his cap space can do for us next season?

BigDaddyG @ 2/25/2014 4:08 AM
Hope it isn' t true. I respect Ray as a person. But I said the same thing about Ray Rice before his situation came to light. Felton is screwed on the weapons possession charges alone, forget abouting menacing or whatever other charges the cops plan to file. I know the is innocent until proven guilty, but it ain't looking good.

Yeah, it is. The dude hasn't been convicted of anything and his trade value is even worse than it was yesterday. Even if we buy him out, it still counts against the cap.

skeng @ 2/25/2014 4:18 AM
Ouch... poor guy. Hope it isn't too serious. But he did make that bed hisself. And wtf does he need a gun for? Hateful fans?
nixluva @ 2/25/2014 4:21 AM
This is NOT a good thing at all. I was hard on Felton when I heard about his divorce issues and how it was effecting his game, but this has taken a turn for the worse. He's really not right mentally on a much deeper level. I don't care what you're going thru there's never a good reason to be pointing a gun at your woman. I have ZERO respect for men that abuse women. If this is true then he'll deserve whatever legal ramifications come his way. You can't lose control like that. It's better to leave than to lose control.

Seems like his wife took a gun in his apartment to the police precinct ...ABC news reports..Wife "found" a loaded weapon in the house and turned it in...
playa2 @ 2/25/2014 5:36 AM
Jason Collins and Michael Sam's text Ray Ray and it said , I got 99 problems and a girlfriend ain't one.

Damn man.... that's some lifetime movie stuff.

GustavBahler @ 2/25/2014 5:51 AM
Going to revise my last post because I didn't realize Felton was pointing the gun at the woman. Its at least a year for weapons possession alone in NYC I believe. Wonder if this is his last season in the pros?
gunsnewing @ 2/25/2014 6:24 AM
Yikes

3 and a half for gun possession minimum for the felony....If it's a misdemenor then it's a max year. Some reports say he pointed it at his girlfriend. Others said that his wife turned a loaded gun in to the police. Can't wait to hear the real story cuz I didn't feel sorry for him before but if this is true then Damn man this is a nightmare

gunsnewing @ 2/25/2014 6:32 AM
He's from the south. Maybe he's carried the gun for years and was naive

It's ok cos we gave him a 4yr cap friendly deal!

He's also rich and he's a pro for 9 years like he likes to remind everyone. He has to know the law in nyc especially with all the recent news surrounding athletes with guns. To be ignorant is not an excuse and a judge will tell anyone that.

Not good news. I just want to find out the real story first.

playa2 @ 2/25/2014 6:44 AM
Leaving a gun in your home is not the problem(Misdemeanor), but if you pointed it at someone that's a C felony.

Question: Do you still think Dolan prefers Ray over Lin
