Knicks · Felton in trouble with the Police? (page 5)

But wait, I don't see in the article where it mentions drinking.

30 days in jail for reckless driving, apparently… he had a bunch of moving violations on his record:

Definitely thought-provoking points about others wielding cars that has caused property damage and death vs a gun that (hopefully) has never killed anyone. But if he threatened anyone's life with it, that is pretty repugnant. He's a pro ballplayer… just live your life and have fun, you get paid millions to play a game. Guns aren't toys.

Ha, nice to see you turn your Conspiracy du Jour into a topical joke on this thread.

Sounds like Raymond's heterosexual lifestyle is going to cause more locker room distraction than Collins. And if Twin gets signed for the rest of the year, the Collins #98 jerseys are going to be a better seller than Felton's.

Why didn't she just tell to take his gun? I'm sure if she told him take your gun or I'm taking it to to the cops, he would've done so with the quickness. It just seems kinda vindictive. It doesn't help that most of the reports come off more like a drunken game of telephone than news stories.

Yeah, theres a little get back in this case. But once NYC has a high profile case, they will try their best to make a statement. This really shouldn't be that big of a deal. But his ex wife is now fighting with fire. For example, if my girl friend had armor piercing bullets, a gun, and enough money to put a bounty on you, the last thing I want to do is make her upset. She is playing with fire!

I agree with you. Leads me to think that Ray might not have brought the gun from North Carolina and she did.

I think the fact that he was allegedly waving it at her during an argument a week and a half ago (and three other times previous) which led to her filing for divorce four days later is probably the reason she didn't tell him to come pick up his loaded gun from her apartment a week after serving him with divorce papers.

Now for all you rookie lovers, What would make you want to play ball at a young age in NYC ?

Too much, too soon, with enough Burrough space to get away with it.

I'm so glad Tim Hardaway's dad schooled him while down in Miami about the pitfalls of NBA life and the temptations that come with it.

Young and whack

What kind of man has a side chick not even 2 years into his marriage to a hottie and stores an unregistered semi-auto in easy reach at his estranged wife's apartment in Manhattan?

Young and wack, indeed. Two sides and the truth though.

Remember ladies! Even if you're divorcing your husband because he threatened to shoot you on four separate occasions you should still totally protect him if he leaves said gun, illegally ownded, loaded, and with a bullet in the chamber, at your house.

Agree. Don't get married as an athelete and if you have a gun leave it back home.

They really don't make them like they used to, huh? She's not Bonnie Parker, she's a good-looking ex-paralegal basketball wife, for crips' sake.

Chris Herring at the Wall Street Journal.

http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10...

Ms. Felton, 26, said that on four occasions, most recently Feb. 14, Mr. Felton waved the weapon around in an aggressive way but didn't point it at her, according to the official.

I've read a lot of his work and he seems to accurately report what's actually happening with the team (unlike some of the other beat writers) so I trust him when he says this is what's been alleged.
