Looks like his buyout will be done today. Memphis is out, Chicago and Cleveland interested. Knicks still possible, but watch out for the Clippers stepping in with the Crawford injury
Knicks should sign him with the LLE or whatever they have. Get him in here cheap for 3 years. His family lives here. He grew up a Knick fan. Lets see what the dude does with it. Plus we need a shooter

couldnt agree more. we need to take chances on guys like jimmer - guys who have sheer talent but could use a change of scenery. no-risk/high-reward
It would be stupid not to sign this kid.
dont laugh... (if you do I deserve it) but would Jimmer qualify for the playoffs?

I believe if he's waived before Saturday, he's good.

Confused with the question. Did you mean if he signs with us does that put us in the playoffs or if we make the playoffs is he eligible?

just playoff eligible... as for getting us in, unless he shows up crapping golden eggs and borrows Phil Jackson's playbook Ill curb my enthusiam, but I do think he could be nice piece moving forward. Long term even.

Beggars can't be choosers.
He brings a rare commodity- the ability to nail open shots.
When Raymond is open, do you think opposing coaches worry, or do you think that is what they want to happen?

they dare him to shoot it. Please please please let Ray shoot 40 jumpers. Keep him out of the paint and Felton gives you nothing. Nada.
Jimmer's shooting can change things. Spread the floor with him an THjr yes I know the defense will be a joke but damn you could get some points in a hurry.

Well, Jimmer can run the PnR pretty well and his shooting would be welcome especially since teams sag to guard Tyson on the lob. The ky would be is he quick enough off the screen to be the defender if he tries to go over the screen. Can he get into the lane and finish or pass the ball to the open man? I would like him running the stupid elevator screens that Felton runs. I only call them stupid because they are running them for a none shooter.
Jimmer has shot the ball well every year and improved his efficiency in the small amount of minutes that he plays so there is enough there that the Knicks would be smart to take a chance on Jimmer. Given the Knicks situation it would not be a risk at all it just depends if they like him and if they can get him.
I just have doubts the FO is smart enough to go after a player like Jimmer and who would they cut in time to sign him?
The Knicks blew once again making moves with lack of patients and sometimes with to much patients never getting their timing right. What was the hurry to add Brown and Clark when they could have waited for Fredette.

They are 10 day contracts. Hopefully, when they Kings do buyout Jimmer we are ready to sign him. Or maybe we void Fatton's contract.

You can't void Felton's contract. Until court decision is made. As for 10 days someone will pick Jimmer up by then.
They should waive K Mart. Let him try and get a ride with a playoff team. Tyler needs those minutes anyway.

Well they can cut the players on the 10 day at anytime right?
I know this sounds crazy, but they are in win now mode. That is one reason why they are going with Vets (Woody).
The other reason is that Jimmer would be a fan favorite. We all know how that worked out last time...
no brainer to get him. Then again where between Dolan, Mills and Woodson are we going to find a brain?
SACRAMENTO (AP) — The Sacramento Kings and guard Jimmer Fredette have completed a buyout of his contract, clearing the way for the former Brigham Young sensation to become a free agent.
Would rather get another PG, but Jimmer might give the team a spark off the bench.
Reports are that he is strongly considering Chi-Town.
I was wrong about their interest in him it seems.
