He pointed a loaded gun at his wife's head--it's simple enough--he's going to jail for that one and the Knicks should have the guts + class to not let him dress The Knicks need to let Felton get his sht together at a minimum.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty?
LOL
THIS IS SO EPIC.
How fitting,
you just knew that if you gave it enough time the Melo era would find a fuck up worthy of Marbury's intern thing, but this is even worse, and we don't even have a lottery pick next year to show for it.

I need a clearer picture of what happened before I start calling on the Knicks to ban Felton or railing on the NYPD for screwing up the investigation. An arrest is not a conviction, a person is innocent until proven guilty, yada, yada, yada, yada.
Knicks need to get out of Felton's contract - have it voided and off the cap.

the laughingstock stock just rose to all time highs with this latest dolan-spawned event.

We do have 3m to spend in purchasing/trading for picks that we chose to yet spend
I think we will get another 3m to spend AFTER the draft, that we could use again to purchase the rights of players
I just hope we don't use this instead on say trading AB, multiple unprotected picks, for Rhondo, while reigning Melo to an max extension, they are both ball dominant, while Rhondo's inability to shoot forces the other 4 players on the floor to be very good shooters, possibly 4 other players capable of hitting a wide open 3pter
Rhondo has an impressive resume when healthy but he IS NOT healthy and he did play get the luxury to play with HIGH IQ, versatile 2 way players, and very good defensive players, along with core being
We wouldn't have the ability to have that type of chemistry/continuity along with a very good coach that complimented the roster with DEFENSE
NYK believes they can build contenders with a few BIG names and vet min talents, which is nearly impossible to do (EVEN HEAT had much more than that)
Ray Allen
Pierce
KG
on top of role players that played was a big part of their success like
Tony Allen
Perkins (who was VERY GOOD with KG while on Boston)
Big Baby or Bass
JO/Rasheed Wallace
First Title
===============
Powe, Leon *with Posey, they were great defensive players with a rotation of Tony Allen, and Powe who were all able to defend multiple positions in addition to their CORE and other role players
Posey, James
Brown, P.J.
Marquis Daniels (who was very solid in his earlier stinct
Scott Pollard (solid 2nd/3rd BIG despite towards the end of his career with PJ Brown that also provided leadership)
The Feltons are in the process of divorcing, the official said. Though Felton's wife said he never threatened her with the gun, she told police that he held the gun during arguments in their apartment. She also told police that he owns other guns in North Carolina.
Pointed a gun at her head? Where did you read that?
We technically don't even know if the gun belonged to Felton. We certainly don't know what incident went on inside that home. I am not a Felton fan but he certainly doesn't deserve to become a target until the facts get straightened out. We haven't even heard his side of the story.
Surprised you would say this Briggs.
I don't want to see Felton do any time. I think he is a good guy who just made a mistake. It also doesn't help that his head isn't in the right place. I'm hopeful that they find that he was framed. If he is guilty he will do mandatory jail time and that sucks. There are guys who probably deserve it but I don't see Raymond being that guy
For some reason I feel the story we got in the beginning may not be the whole truth.
When we hear more about his wife and where she is emotionally, then we can see if there is some sort of vendetta she may have against Ray Ray.
Never heard of any domestic abuse from this 16 month marriage to warrant him being some gun toting thug all of a sudden.
I wish they can send Felton to Portland again. Those fans would make his life hell

Thats what the paper said. Agree with point here-these people sounded like War of the Roses but only after 16 months? That is fast work
Ever hear of telephone? Someone makes a ridiculous accusation and idiots in every media outlet picks up on it and it snow balls from there? And conveniently their ratings and sales skyrocket?
I don't want Felton back because he just plain sucks right now and his off the court decisions are as poor as his on the court decisions. Who brings an unregistered 18 round semiautomatic handgun into NYC? If he just got off the bus from hicksville I might understand it, but Felton knew the deal.
sure more facts will come out in the future, but, regardless of the mindset or motivation of the wife, or the facts of their relationship, or how 'good a guy' he is, if it his unlicensed gun, he is responsible and should be convicted.

To BRIGGS' credit, it was the headline of the NY Post article:
http://nypost.com/2014/02/25/knicks-raym...
But the article copy never refers to it, only "waving". Remember, its the editors who write the headlines, not the reporters.
And the Post sucks. The Feltons are on their front page today. What a rag.
