Knicks · Enjoy the knicks game (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 3/2/2014 11:47 AM
I'm not following another game this year on tv. There is nothing to enjoy learn about or cheer for at this point. The only positive thing I can do is simply not watch and I hope more true fans will follow the path of not watching the knicks for the rest of the year to express your view to msnagement
smackeddog @ 3/2/2014 11:50 AM
I've felt that way for a while- haven't watched the last 5, and only watched the 10 before that whilst doing something else. However, I might watch todays game to see what a hardworking, defensive minded, passionate team that works even harder when key players go down, to defy the odds, looks like. We used to have a team like that.
gunsnewing @ 3/2/2014 11:51 AM
Haven't been fully engaged in a game since maybe game 4 of the season

Neither have the Knicks!

CrushAlot @ 3/2/2014 11:53 AM
I had surgery a short time ago and can't do anything so I will be watching.
JS3 @ 3/2/2014 11:55 AM
While not watching is defiantly good for our health, it is not the answer, we should use social media to emphasize our disappointment from this team, our voice should be heard, our opinion should be taken into the Knicks strategy
GustavBahler @ 3/2/2014 12:08 PM
Haven't missed many games but next season I'm pretty sure I will be missing a lot more of them (no league pass for me) if this is the best we are going to get.

unfortunately that will actually just fill the need for Dolan to continue to starphuq
As soon as GM's around the league, know Dolan is in charge, and not a REAL GM making basketball decisions, they will look to exploit the Knicks

Almost every team in the entire league has been looking to stockpile assets with draft picks/young players/ value in contracts, and preserving cap space for 2015

This past trade deadline, was Dolan's best chance to make a decision on the future of the franchise

A- To continue to starphuq and get players like (all at a decent price) Turner, Thad Young, and Spencer Hawes, and keeping Melo
Hawes and Turner were traded for 1 2nd round picks each, so if you add in 2018, 2020, and 2018, 2019 2nd rounders, it probably would have got done, I would also look to take back a early/mid 2nd rounder that Philly owns this summer, probably adding in the 3m in trades though

or

B- Trade for assets, stockpile picks, and tank till 2015, trading pieces to contenders looking to win this year

This summer, those teams that would trade for those players, would rather just wait it out....
By doing nothing, he just loss leverage with Melo and the entire league

MCkinsey must convince Dolan that he must hire a completely new management team, from GM to Coaching
Every team in the league will look to exploit the Knicks if Dolan is in control, using them as a tool to speed up the rebuilding process

Yeah I've been paying attention less and less as the season went on (have yet to voluntarily miss a game though). At this rate, I'm going to miss most of the next season if things don't change.

There are some great streaming options next year if things don't change. Not as good as league pass but free and virus free.

Maybe you can all wear Lin jerseys, drink some cinnamon mocha lattes and sing Kumbayah?

feel better man

The Knicks' players are mailing it in at this point. I don't really blame Chandler for blowing off his defensive responsibilities: When he sees Melo and Stat just standing around watching the other team board and score, while doing nothing, it's probably quite dis-spiriting to him.

Phck this bullshyte team. Haven't watched the last couple of games, doubt I will tune in again this season. I'll get my TV fix from GoT and the other quality programming coming out next month on HBO.

And I'll be rooting for the Pacers in the playoffs. Now THAT'S a ballin team!

Thanks Crush. Don't even know if I will do that, just losing interest in this team. Hope your surgery went well.

How do you take such a stance when u we so upbeat about the team going into the season..U were very happy with the roster and now you are blaming management for the team's play...I'm sure management was very happy with the roster early on too but they don't get to change their minds midway through..

Right, because the last 15 years in front couldn't last forever. Good gravy.

Riiiiiight, and we all know only true fans watch their team when they are in front. Because watching them when they are at the bottom is... ummmm....

So, are you a Knicks fan, or a commmericial sponsor? It's okay, being connected to a loser may have deleterious effects on your self-esteem.

Nice point.

I don't care if the Knicks aren't an elite team, if that was the only metric, I would have given up on them ages ago. The only thing the Knicks are having an affect on is my ability to stay awake. Dolan is doing his level best to make sure it stays that way.

Dolan is a rich fat little troll who probably never played the game even in gym class. Granted, over and over a billion times.

But doesn't announcing "I'm not going to watch the team!!!" just slightly akin to holding your breath and stamping your feet?
Be frustrated and upset with the losing, the lack of direction, Melo's free agency, Woody's sucktitude, etc, but jumping off the wagon is still...jumping off the wagon, right?

We lived through IT and Marbles and Anoucha and Eddy Curry.

We will get through this. Courage, men.

Nalod @ 3/3/2014 12:44 PM
I pulled the plug on my league pass before the season started, and I have not been to Charlotte to see a game against the 'Cats.

Why? I saw this coming as did Barkley. SO this season does not both me like some of the homers who were all excited.

To be fair, I didn't thing it would be this bad. When Zelot Playa said they'd go 21-9 I knew they'd go 9-21.

I digress.

Bad season, and bad investment of time. Watched little of the three games on national TV and it was ok. We losing with Melo, if he leaves we'll lose without him.

I'd feel better if Lebron came and joined Melo, but thats dreaming again........

Dream on......

Its nothing to do with losing- more to do with the lack of effort and the same stupid shit over and over again from players, coach, management and owner. I honestly have better things to do with my life that watch a bunch of clowns not bring any effort. Everyone's got to have a line- blind loyalty isn't healthy
