Knicks · Bargs going down hurt more than people want to admit (page 1)

we won 4 in a row right after his injury and most people were glad he was hurt --- how do those people feel now?

not saying he makes us a playoff team but he at least could have helped us from this free fall and helped us win games.

The Knicks didnt do too well when Bargs was healthy anyway. Im sorry but that tarde made no sense and cost us yet another pick

I actually liked the team better with Bargs at Center. I don't think anyone realized until now that Bargs had long ago morphed into more of a Center than PF/SF as he was used at times in his career. Bargs had his issues, but IMO he was actually getting better defensively. With more time he could get a little better as a team defender. His offense would be helpful especially if we used him properly and got him a lot of midrange looks. Also can someone get him a trainer to teach him how to do a body roll? Dude doesn't know how to fall.

Yeah, and his on/off +/- is -6.0 points per 48 min. (And obviously all the other advanced stats look pretty bad.) Maybe this is just an old, crappy team.

Hmmmnnnn....you might just be onto something there, KC.

When a team is this bad everything looks bad even the little bright spots get dimmed.

Thing is we have to play a different style of basketball with Chandler and AB at C, often with Kmart as our best glue F
However, Woodson just doesn't see this

Woodson wants to play one style and one style only, it doesn't work that way and that is on BOTH ENDS
I have said it once he took over, especially prior to our play offs last year, if he doesn't use deception and play a different way, we will have no chance

With the injuries, Melo got comfortable playing one way, and then the lineups would change on him

AB will likely not make a difference even if we made the play offs but I do think that we play our best with his ability to spread the floor so Melo can post up more or penetrate with AB pulling out the opponents C

Kmart's mobility, ability to rebound, block shots, play great help DEF, set screens, and make GREAT cuts
Also, he is our best passing BIG man, with the ability to finish an alley hoop and throw one to Melo with their chemistry going back to Denver
He is our glue player and he is surely missed, our Rasheed Wallace of this year...
