Knicks · Why do Thibs and the Bulls win w/o a PG? (page 1)

And we can't win 30games with a $90mil payroll?
gunsnewing @ 3/3/2014 7:52 AM
I know Hinrich is Savy but he is 100yrs old like Pablo

My take 2 things:
Thibs > Woodson
Noah a center averages more assists than Melo. They play like a team on both ends

One word: NOAH!

The kid is very underrated. His stat line is rebounds, blocks, and more so now assists.

He also is the back stop when the perimeter is violated.

He is top 5 MVP candidate.

I wonder if Dolan ever sees Noah and thinks of Eddy Curry? Or if he has no association whatsoever.
nyk4ever @ 3/3/2014 8:09 AM
it's simple really. the bulls, as a franchise, have an idea what kind of team they want to be and they have drafted and signed players that fit that vision. when you have hard working players who play both ends of the floor and actually enjoy playing defense, you're going to win games.... especially when every player knows the coach is going to hold you accountable.

the whole thing about noah averaging more assists than melo is a pointless statement though. melo is asked to score for the knicks while noah is asked to start the offense for the bulls at the high-post and rarely looks to shoot. two totally different things.

Man I wish we had Noah. My favorite center even when Tyson was wing DPOY. He does so much more than Tyson and probably makes less money
Bonn1997 @ 3/3/2014 8:44 AM
Augistin is playing about a thousand times better than anyone we have at PG
mreinman @ 3/3/2014 8:49 AM
Noah is my favorite player in the NBA and I loved him in college too.

4 points, 20 rebounds and 6 assists type of games are beautiful to watch if you really care about players playing the correct game.

You think that he is better than Shannon Anderson?

Vmart @ 3/3/2014 9:02 AM
Everything can work if the coach is in control of the situation. A coach who can learn and make adjustment to his talent. Woody doesn't have that ability to adjust. And he definitely is not in control of his team that went out the window last year during the playoffs.

Great post, right on the money. The Bulls are a very well run organization and the Knicks are the exact opposite of that.

Someone on UK needs to man up and own an earlier statement of theirs they made about him!

JR smith dogs it and is still awarded major minutes

you and i lead the cries to sign him franco, i know that much. would he have made a difference here? i have no idea, but he certainly would have given our offense a spark and played better than felton.

gunsnewing @ 3/3/2014 9:35 AM
I agree we can use a change of pace pg but does Woodson want to play faster?
gunsnewing @ 3/3/2014 9:38 AM
He doesn't and that's one of the many reasons he has to go. I want to win the lottery next year so we should probably keep him though

I feel bad for Woodson. I'm not sure he knows what he wants. He has at times, it seemed to me, encouraged players to attack, move faster.

But then how often do they play the opposite?

On the one hand, we make excuses for Woodson- but then I'm not sure if he had better tools (e.g., a pg) he would necessary use them to their strengths.

"Someone"? Is that me? Most of us probably forgot whatever we said about him by now.

but you don't forget when someone picks more wins than you do?

Knicks could've had a guy like Augustine but wanted a slow flat footed Beno to run along speedsters like Pablo and Felton

Because let's face it. Melo ball(dribble, drop ball in melo's hands) is only successful in the half court
