...They could call it the 'Knick' rule.
Does anyone else get sick watching Joakim Noah playing for The Bulls?!?

Lol, there's only so many rules a league can make to save owners from themselves. Besided, Noah was the 9th pick in that draft. LaMarcus Aldridge on the other hand...
Maybe they could just make a rule that Dolan isn't allowed to trade draft picks or players on the first 2 years of their rookie contracts!

At least The Bulls messed up that one by trading to Tyrus Thomas, although I do not recall what else they got for that swap.
I don't care when he Noah was picked, that was out pick! For Eddy Curry!!!

In all fairness we 'The knicks' would have most likely passed on Noah for some chump.
I guess this pick Denver will get has
zero protection on it?
Not even for 1st? Is this organization the only one that doesn't protect at least the 1st slot if not 1,2, and 3?
Unbelievable.
They should make a rule that no one names Dolan is allowed to own an NBA team, or at least the Knicks!

Nope, no protection as far as I know. I don't think Dolan has ever put any protection on a pick he's traded out.

careful MSG is watching
We can't put even top 5 protection on a 1st during a bad year but doesn't OKC or Mia(or some other elite team) owe us a 2nd that's like top 55 protected? LOL
Disagree entirely. If your franchise makes completely imbecilic decisions regarding traded picks, then your imbecilic franchise needs to learn from its imbecilic mistakes and do better. Still waiting, of course...

Some people are slow learners!
The league keeps trying to save us from ourselves, but we keep finding ways to mess up- the Allan Houston rule (to help us get out of his contract), the amnesty which was probably designed to get us out of Amar'es contract but we used it on Billups who we had just picked up his option with, the banning trading picks two years running (we probably invented the loophole of swapping picks!)
I'm not for telling owners, or people for that matter what to do, but there should be protections automated for like the top 4 or so picks.
Perhaps if a #1 pick is to be traded, it should be a fan vote.

I think they should be allowed to trade them after the pick # has been determined but if it's a future pick TBD then there should be protection.
really happy for noah. dude tries just as hard, if not moreso, than any other player in the league. he's not blessed with pure talent but he has a neverending motor and innate bball iq. everyone wants to know why the bulls keep winning without rose.. when a guy like noah is your team leader and he's busting his ass every single play, it makes thibs job getting through to other players a whole hell of alot easier.
noah for mvp.
No the "Knick Rule" is owners are prohibited from trading unprotected first round picks for washed up overpriced former lottery picks that other teams are trying to give away.
