Those are the writers words. Melo's quote gives some leeway. I interpreted as: Yeah I heard the rumors/talk and if it happens that's nice but it's not a done deal. However, you have to love what Phil brings to a team blah blah blah...

See that's what I disagree with he is not breaking news from my perspective. I am pretty sure other players had similar comments. Like nothing is official but if it happens you have to respect what Phil brings to the table...
