Knicks · Timofey Mozgov... (page 1)

NardDogNation @ 3/16/2014 1:32 PM
I've only caught a few Denver games this year but I've been thoroughly impressed with Timmy's development. He's still pretty athletic (albeit stronger) but has also seemed to have polished his moves and developed better hands. It kind've made me wonder if him at $3 million/yr was better than Tyson Chandler at $12-$14 million/yr the past 3 seasons. Am I completely offbase in thinking that?
fishmike @ 3/16/2014 1:50 PM
Yea he looks good. Loved that dude.

Ditto. Losing he and Wilson Chandler made me hate that Denver trade. I could care less about having lost Wilson at this point but Mozgov (and that 2014 pick) still stings.

Ditto. Always liked him. Like him better than most centers. Better than Asik that's for sure. Losing him was the tipping point for me. Subjecting us to watching Ronnie Turiaf finish the year at center ughhh

Yeah, I like him better than most centers too. Hell, I think I like him better than Chandler at this point when salaries are factored in. Again, might be a stretch on my part but I think Mozgov could be a top 10 center if he played in a system that deemphasized guard play and slowed the tempo.

As for Turiaf, I actually liked him. I realize I'm probably the only person that feels that way considering how much he has bounced around the league. I thought he'd be effective if we weren't running that gimmicky Seven Seconds or Less offense.

Liking Moz is hating on Melo.

Its not that it is, its how its is...........

knicks1248 @ 3/16/2014 3:26 PM
so you would rather lose melo and keep mosgov?
Dagger @ 3/16/2014 3:29 PM
I watched part of the Denver-Hawks game last night and Mozgov had some bright moments but he also turned the ball over a decent amount like he did with us. I still don't think his hands are very good.

Somehow, I don't think that's true.

As for Moz, I certainly wouldn't mind having him on this team now but at the time of the Melo trade I didn't really have that big of a problem trading him. I also remember a large portion of the media making fun of us because we held up the Melo trade because we didn't want to let him go. Of course, once we traded him, Moz became some valuable player that we shouldn't have let go.

Uh....no....

fishmike @ 3/16/2014 5:28 PM
You have to add Moz as a nice notch on Donnie's belt. Got him from nowhere
IronWillGiroud @ 3/16/2014 5:48 PM
Mozgov is so good, another shot in the foot by melo
Nalod @ 3/17/2014 8:46 AM
Lets just say many are intrigued by the man who came from nowhere and became a servicable NBA player!

My comment was a joke because Moz-Melo will always be linked to the trade.

Posts like this are the reason some are pointing to Melo hate coming up in every thread.

EnySpree @ 3/17/2014 9:45 AM
Moz would be a nice platoon guy in any system we chose to run here going forward.
Nalod @ 3/17/2014 11:12 AM
Active 7 footer with a good midrange shot. Off the bench he can play for almost every team.

Loved his humble and naive personality when he got here. Must have been overwelming to him.

He was a fan favorite by many an we rooted not because he was just a knick, but we rooted for his success.

Glad he is sticking in the league making money and hopfully having some fun!

Yes, we know some are still angry. Its been 4 years now. Time to move on........

NYKBocker @ 3/17/2014 11:24 AM
Mozzie would be a good center for the triangle

Coming soon to thread near you: Why We Have the Wrong Chandler! Dammmmmmmm Youuuuuuu Melooooooooooo!!!!

Maybe someone can post some stats about Moz's efficiency over the past 4 years. Especially those few months when he couldn't break into the rotation!

Nalod, the unchallenged king of the low-level, even-keeled MeloNotQuiteDislike.

"Hey, I understand your Gallo/Moz/Mayor/draft pick/cap space pain, but it's been awhile, get over it."
"By the way, while you're trying to get over it, here's why I really loved all those yoots and picks and space..."
"Yeah, I like the Knicks, I just happen to like other teams as much or maybe even a little more due to more intriguing management, better players, nicer history, better understatedness..."

Centrism, the new black!
