http://nypost.com/2014/03/19/isiah-think...Speaking on Sirius XM radio Wednesday afternoon, Thomas said, “I want to say this about Coach Woodson: It’s been talked a lot about just how the next coach will come on. I think Phil is going to be pleasantly surprised when he sits down and has a conversation with Mike Woodson about his understanding of basketball and his understanding of implementing a triangle, if that’s what he wants implemented, and understanding the system and style of play.

Here's how it happened:
Back in 2004, Thomas, then the Knicks' president, reached out to Jackson about possibly coaching the team. Jackson then asked Thomas about his relationship with Dolan because the coach had heard so many negative stories about the owner.
"He was enthusiastic about the basketball program and he was enthusiastic about the owner," Jackson said Wednesday. "I checked that against the other things you hear in the press and the naysayers that talk a little bit about the Knicks. ... So I went in [to his recent negotiations with Dolan] with an open mind."

Isiah knows nothing about anything
Can never get enough of that Isiah guy.
I hope loyalty doesn't come into play here
Yea Woodson can learn the triangle?
He is still going to screw up everything else
Woodson is a nice man
Indiana U. Is calling
A bunch of the things Phil stressed yesterday (ball movement, cuts, general off ball movement, team ball, a system) are things Woodson hasn't really done
Woodson struggles wih simple offensive concepts that have been part of the game for damn near 80yrs
Yea playa... That's why he's mostly run damphony's offense
Maybe Phil brings in an " offensive" coach to sit on the bench and eventually takeover. Kinda like when Woods on was brought in to handle the defense when 'stache was still coach.

I love tripping
It's been a long time since Woody has actually used MDA's system here and even when he did it was a very basic and watered down version. I think the best Woody could hope for is to get an assistant who can coach offense much like Tex did for Phil. Woody needs that help like MDA needed a defensive assistant. That's the only way I see this working with Woody staying as coach. That said I think Phil would prefer having Kerr in place instead.
All it takes is a few new acquisitions and Woodson will be completely completely thrown off again
Isiah must be taking some powerful stuff.
Dolan himself said he doesn't know basketball, who do you think was giving him advice all this time....Steve Mills ?????

Yup it's hard for any GM when Isiah is in the owners ear
