Knicks · Can Anybody Here Play Defense? (page 1)

“Attention to detail is very important... Woody gives us a strategy before the game. ... I guess we didn’t pay attention to what the coaching staff was saying, and [the Lakers] took advantage of it.”

- Amare Stoudemire

We own the 25th rated defense in the NBA

Forget the triangle talk. You gotta guard somebody.

gunsnewing @ 3/26/2014 8:36 AM
Defense? We talkin about defense? Not the game, defense?
StarksEwing1 @ 3/26/2014 8:41 AM
The lack of defense makes me sick. The reason i loved the 90's knicks was that they played tough defense. Raymond felton besides being teh worst starting pg in the nba is also the worst defending point guard(starter or back up). Melo and Amare can score but they are weak defenders. Shumpert and Tyson are probably our best defenders but even they have declined from the past 2 years
Nalod @ 3/26/2014 8:54 AM
We can celebrate the 20th anniversary since Riles and co. went to the finals.

How a 51 pt quarter can make us long for the "good old days"........

Knicks dont' execute the game plan what's a coach to do? Maybe he lost the team, maybe they can smell his fear, maybe they gave up on their season.

Hey, its springtime in California! The beach, the clubs, melo's crib, Amare gets to shop rodeo drive.......JR gets to visit a dispensary, and felton meeting with producers on revival of the HBO drama "OZ"! He wants to play the role of an NBA player incarcerated for..........Oh wait, thats not funny!

Flu Tyson is back in his home city as well! Wash your hands please!!

Nalod @ 3/26/2014 9:01 AM
Looked at box score and Lakes shot 58%, and 64% from 3pters!!!

MDA ball when the team is on can beat anyone. For one game at least.

We shot 47%.

The reality is when a team like the Lakes go off like that they will win in the NBA.

This team gets its overhall from the top on down.

Exactly

...the Lakers scored FIFTY-ONE F#CKING POINTS IN THE THIRD QUARTER. That is the most the Lakers have ever scored in a quarter. That is the most the Knicks have ever surrendered in a quarter. Again, if the Knicks had simply not fielded a team in the third quarter, Los Angeles might have performed worse. - Seth Rosenthal

51

Wasn't that Ron Artest's uni numeral?

SupremeCommander @ 3/26/2014 9:34 AM
no
Knicksfan @ 3/26/2014 10:43 AM
Lets thank the team. They just made us save our time from a pointless playoff push.

Wait, playoffs? Hahahahaaha! Good one!

jrodmc @ 3/27/2014 10:53 AM
Not for a continuous four quarters, no.

Woody, worst D coach in the universe.

How did it come to this? Melo's inefficiency!
(pre-emptive hate post)

People still sleep on what an overrated punk Tyson is. He's the most overpaid player on the Knicks by a landslide. I truly believe that his signing more than anything set this team back.

this

And the amnesty of CB which made for a beautiful pick your sh1t sandwich.

1. Tyson / CB move
2. Amare
3. Bargs
4. Let Lin go
5. Felton puke

So undo move .1 and we would not be stuck with Amare or Chandler

Did I say FLEXIBILITY?

Oh, you're gonna get some definite flak on that opinion. Maybe.

Chris Smith <------ this set most of professional sports back, let alone this franchise.
