smackeddog - what you said.
Five steals is five steals.
He is averaging 1.2 steals a game. Perhaps if he averaged 5 a game he could start making up for how bad an offender he is.
Anyone know/want to look up the exact STATS for Shumps high top era? I'm too lazy to look all dat shyt up.
The Answer Man Parties Like Its 1999

A. (Dancing to Prince) During the current High Top Fade era the Knicks are something like 12-3. Or something like that.

“I was able to tell Iman today that that’s what has to be seen on a basis from game to game. It may not happen every game, but those are things that break games open.”
- Phil Jackson

mreinman - You need to pay more attention to the word consistency.
The Knicks are the first team in NBA history to lose 9 or more games by 20...
...and win 9 games or more by 20 points.
Dee-fense.
defense is nice but his offense is uuuuhhhh TURRIBLE. No need for an inefficient two guard who can shoot and is a ghastly finisher.
I wish him well on his next team.
Sorry to disappoint you but I'm sure Shumpert just guaranteed he's coming back next year. Phils quote about the game ---Jackson loved what he saw defensively against the Nets when the Knicks recorded 11 steals.
“I’m still a coach that believes in pressure, pressure defense, playing like we saw the Knicks play last night — anticipation, turnovers become run-outs,” Jackson said. “The triangle offense is one of the best offenses to run because of its balance and because players can play defense out of an offense like that. Your defense creates offense and your offense creates defense.”
I was watching the game and they showed Phil talking to the person next to him after Shump stole the ball and created a fast break . He seemed like he saw something that he liked very much.
BigRedDog - Phil played with Clyde, who make stealing the ball off the dribble, an art form.
Well stated and outstanding observation.

Golly, hope Woody didn't read that line...
Just dawned on me the amount of respect Shump might have for Phil growing up a Chicago Bulls fan

Yea Michael Woodson prefers watching Jarret Jack and Dragic light Felton up for 30+

I won't be disappointed because I trust in Phil. If he thinks he can fix him then great. Right now he is very broken.

I think he deserves 10 "EARLIES" (misterearl points)
C'mon misterearl you love that idea, am I right?
Did Shumpert turn into kawhi leonard over night. I sure hope so. Shump seemed to have started to turn the corner going into the playoffs and during the playoffs. Why he never attacked 4s like he did televich? Is beyond me. That's how he should've been against Boozer, West, and etc. I hope Shump can turn it around and do some serious work in the summer while completely healthy.
