I feel like I am in bizzaro world.
JVG?
Yeah it seems a bit harsh. He had a major case of knucklehead on his team, a lot of interference from the front office regarding roster moves and playing time, and a lot of injuries. If anything he deserves credit for being resilient. Still needs to go after this year but I don't see him as being as bad as espn did.

Look, I realize the Knicks suck and most of it is well deserved. But to have the Knick as the worst franchise in the league is a joke. Even behind Milwaukee? This is why I don't take most of ESPN's basketball writers seriously. There is a serious bias against New York over there.
Woody blows in just about every aspect as a coach. /thread
OrseOff the top of my head, shaw, brown and dantoni all are worse. I am really glad shawvis employed.
Melo at center? That is not coaching it's blatant stupidity.

Fact with Woodson is he never changed his views , philosophy on how to Adapt , thus maybe help him win few more games hence i agree he had worse year for his resume. He dont seem to bring too much to the table as far as pro game.
I use to admire woody & feel little sorry for him on knick breakdowns seen in 2012/2013 NBA playoffs.
However I no longer feel bad for coach Mike, he brought crap on himself with his stubbornness.
Obviously he ain't learn squat from Greg Poop or Larry Brown. He wont get shot to learn stuff from Phil Jackson a..Woody goner and of course I wont blame Knicks mess all on coach Woodson.

I agree with this assessment. Not all in Woody but he brought most of this on himself. His decision making and end game management have been atrocious. Last night he pull Amare got Melo into the game there was no center on the floor. Soon as I saw that Melo was coming into the game for Amare my mind made the determination that this was a loss.
Atlanta coach needs a little more respect. They have Teague and Millsap and a bunch of d league guys and they still manage to win.
Woodson with a couple conflicting quotes yesterday. First he says the play was for a 2 man game and Felton is quoted as saying the play was to "give the ball to Melo". Then, he says he subbed Melo in cause the guys out there were struggling or something like that. The same guy who tweeted that quote shows that we actually went on good run and took a 3 point lead with the guys that were out there.

They have Lou Williams too but if you are shooting them out as key players then I rest my case

You obviously feel JVG is quality NBA, which is cool, but I dont. He falls in the same category as MDA in the sense that they need certain players to run a certain system and they refuse to adjust. People forget that he was on the verge of getting fired in 99 until Camby and Spree bailed him out and the Knicks made that run to the finals in the lockout season
and let us not forget that piss poor performance he had in Houston with Ming and T.Mac.
oh...and he quit on the team 20 games into the season. great coach
18-6
54-28
If previous years count, Im not sure he deserves the low mark. Spolstra 4th? Two time defending champ?
For the most part, the list seems pretty good. Obviously taken based on this season.
he won't ever get a higher rating because his awful track record in the playoffs is damning evidence of his fool's gold regular season record. folks may need to acknowledge that last year's record had more to do with jason kidd than woodson.
