Earlier Friday, McDermott was named player of the year by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. The 6-foot-8 McDermott was selected The Associated Press player of the year on Thursday.
McDermott led the nation in scoring with a 26.7 average while shooting 52.6 percent from the field, including 44.9 percent from 3-point range.
At the next Level will he be effective or will he be Adam Morrison, Wally Sczerbiack or better ?
does he do anything but score?
he was the major focal point in the offense. everything they did was to get the guy a shot. So many screens and structure went into freeing him up.....he won't have that at the next level.
it's hard to do a best case/worst case....he doesn't have a handle and he isn't a physical guy really inside. Hard to call this guy
not taking the bait here..
Bobby Simmons was a big time scorer I college and turned it to be a bum in the nba. It's interesting.

I guess he'll still be a white guy?

I haven't seen the guy play much, i was asking those who love and watch a lot of college ball.
It's a legit question , what bait are you referring to?
