Knicks · We cant cry about Melos shoulder (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 4/5/2014 10:34 AM
hes hurt every year for 10 games at a minimum--that his avg. Atlanta lost Horford or we wouldnt even be talking about playoffs. Everything counts and the bottom line is we have been a poor team with some good players. We may be able to rebuild easier but change is needed. Like Phil said we need to take signifcant load of Melo--and we need a new coach who will gameplan and give Melo more rest.

Great post! 100% agree. Yesterday was hard to watch. It was unrealistic to assume Melo wouldn't wear down at some point given his work load. In addition, the lack of a game plan is a joke.

He had this shoulder issue before the season even started. Going back to last season

Wisely he elected to play through. $30mil from the Knicks on the line first

last year it was his left shoulder. aren't they saying it's his right shoulder?

jesus dude, would you stop with the obviously artificially inflated $30M line? It's lame

You're right Phil is not giving Melo that kind of money

no one is. Melo gonna be hard-pressed to get $20M in a sign and trade. Economics just don't work.

If his shoulder is ok, I think its 18-20.

What if his shoulder is not or he suffers a diff injury? Does he not opt out?

You're right. It's his right shoulder this time.

This will be smart... but the money he may get from some NBA dupes worth the gamble.
Also he may break down next year... then what?

Can we cry about the losses due to his shoulder injury?

Dead arm, and he's playing anyway and handing out assists.
What a dumb loser.

To be fair we were losing this year even when he was healthy

So...then....we should be happy his shoulder's injured? You're not giving us many options here...

Um...not sure how you came to that conclusion.

Process of elimation.

OP - We can't cry about Melo's being injured, even when it's obviously why we lose.
We obviously can't cry about him not being injured, because we lost then, too.

What's left?
