I seriously doubt phil keeps him, and I certaintly wouldn't mind not seeing him. I just don't understand a basketball player that averages 2 shot attempts a game in 20 minutes, never ever takes it to the hole(when was the last time he made a layup) turns down more open shots then any player in the history of the game.
While its great to have a player who's unselfish and pesky on defense, he's shooting 46% from 3, yet only takes 2 shots pg, and i have never ever seen him take a mid range shot....EVER.
You appreciate some of the things he does, but he never steps up offensively when the team is struggling to score. Is it me or am I just asking for too much?

Yes we did , he was another passive pg who would cave in to feed the beast(Melo) under any circumstance with no conflict.
I like him though I agree that he should shoot more being as efficient as he is. The culture here is for players like him not to shoot but to defer to the kings.
I wish I saw him much more than Felton.
The whole point of being a point guard is to be able to sense what the team needs at any given time.
That's what makes rondo so good. The guy can drop 20pts on you every night if he wanted. He only gives what the game calls for.
Priggy can run a team and play some defense. He can shoot too. But when the Team needs the point guard to make something happen, he simply can't. Can't have a point that doesn't want to score even if he had to
I'll have fond memories of him.

You are so right, it is baffling why he won't shoot. He reminds me of when I am watching a jr high/ h.s. gsme and guys have clear flaws to their games and won't do whatever that flaw is.

While beno is a horrible defender atleast he can give you a solid 10 to 13 ppg and about 5 ast..pablo gives you next to nothing on offense and is super suspect on D, he just cant guard pgs in the nba, their just too fast.

And with Beno getting enough minutes to get you that solid 10-13ppg, you'd be losing every game by 20 points off turnovers and even worse defense. Would you rather watch the Steph Curry's of the world scoring 50 and 60 every night? Beno's not just horrible on D, he makes Prigs look like The Glove 2. He also turns the ball over more.

Yet listening to Breen you would think this guy was the second coming of Magic Johnson.
I liked him last season, but I think he's declined this year (Father Time)
If Prigs wasn't so allergic to the rim I believe he could have taken Kidd's place as leader of this squad. You can see him coaching on the floor, directing traffic, but he doesn't pull his own weight by taking it to the rim when he has an open lane.
If Pablo did that consistently, hit or miss, he would be one of the top 15 guards in the league IMO. Its just too big a hole in his game to count on him when the chips are down. He runs the offense better than anyone on this team , but Prigioni passes the buck too often. That's not old school.

He's 36 and not too old to make a wide open layup. Too often its 4 on 5, when a player is as reluctant to shoot as Prigs, it makes it harder for his teammates to get a good look. I remember watching him in the worlds just after he got signed and he wasn't driving much, but he did have some nice takes to the rim in transition and half court. Doesn't need to be John Wall, but there is no excuse to pass up a clear lane as much as Pablo does.
One of the reasons Kidd was less vocal as the season went on was because of his slump. He wasn't pulling his own weight so he wasn't about to get on anyone else's case. Can't say I blame him.
Pablo is the Jared Jeffries of point guards.

This is exactly my point, it's not only the open lane lay ups that he turns a blind eye to, its the mid range, and 3's as well..
And i never see anyone on the team encouraging him to shoot the damn ball, thats even more ridiculous..

Stat said in a press conference the other day that he begs Pablo to shoot but nobody listens to him even if he has a mismatch.
