Actually its a good answer. Your saying other teams are more important to you. I should have added others but lets just say if another team superseeds your "Net interest" for what ever reason, then your not rooting for them.

I have read some won't root for Nets because of Pierce/Garnett, or from plain old Jersey days hate, and other have said "Brooklyn is in NYC" and while its not their team, they'd rather have a NYC team win then others.
Personally The Net thing never caught with me as I thought it would but Kidds got the ball moving and they can be a fun team to watch. I like the Bulls but Im never getting over the Jordan Era. Pierce/Garnett don't bother me as much as they are not destroyoing the Knicks.
My preference is a Net/SAS final! Not sure I'd be upset if SAS won that! I don't hate Miami as much after they earned my respect in the playoffs last year. Lebron was amazing!
I root for Chicago because I love Noah and everything he stands for.
I hate Garnett and Pierce because they are azzholes though I respect them. KG is dirty and not affable. Pierce looks like he has a serious personality disorder. DWil is fine but boring. I love kidd a lot but the main players just don't excite me.
I rooted for the Nets when they had kidd and went to the finals.
I like Houston because of the way their offense runs. Close 2's or 3's (modern bball), very few long range 2's.
I would love to see PHX in the playoffs though that looks like its not gonna happen. I love Hornacek, Dragic and the rest of those overachievers.
San Antonia is boring but so deserving so I am ok with them winning and I will root for them against most of the eastern opponents.
I don't want Indiana to win because that is one of our biggest rivalries and they have not won yet. Don't want to see it happen (that would hurt). My favs (and IMHO the best players on that team on that team) are Lance S. and David West while the others get all the accolades.
Nets are not really a knicks rivalry. There is a lot of indifference since they never were really good for a decent stretch at the same time.
Brooklyn has grown on. I have grown to respect both Pierce and Garnett, and as an they've gotten older, I can appreciate how they are using veteran guile to get by.
I am rooting for my son's second favorite team (Wizards - due to John Wall...my kid's a point guard who loves Wall's game). If the Wizzies lose in the first or second round, I'll root for the Pacers to take the Chip.
Anyone but the Heat.
I dont care... I will watch any playoff basketball game because the intensity is great and they are fun to watch. Zero "rooting" interest unless Im betting on the games.
Only care that Miami don't win again aside from that could care less if nets went deep in playoffs, think they are bounce by 2nd round, small steps of improving in big picture. They want to win now & wont.
btw, I put money on miami to win so that if they do, it'll be less painful
F*ck the Nets. I hate to say it, but if it came down to BKN vs. Miami, I may prefer the Heat winning. I've always hated the Nets, but bringing back Kidd and adding Pierce and KG to the mix? They became the perfect shitstorm for my spite and bad wishes.

I'm basically just rooting for the Western Conference, which is a lot easier when the Lakers aren't around. I'll pretty much root for whoever wins the West hoping especially that it's the Spurs and not the Rockets with the other teams falling in between.
I want root for a team But I'll root for players I like. SO that mean any former UF player or someone else game I admire I'll watch.
