What about the SCHOENE folks saying the Suns will win fewer games than Philly and Orlando? And that was even before Phoenix traded away Marcin Gortat for another pick.

They had Portland winning 41 games, PHX winning 20 games, OKC winning 51, Minny winning 51, Det winning 49... My bet is on them having more luck than being about science..
Yeah, Schoene has a mediocre track record. It's better than fans here tend to but worse than most of the metrics.
Don't forget, fans here had the much simpler task of studying and making a prediction for just one team, and most we're off by 15 to 20 wins.

Actually, I went back and found that [url="http://www.ultimateknicks.com/forum/topic.asp?t=45727"]thread[/url] and there are a lot of predictions that weren't more than 10 wins off. Shoutout to franco12 for getting closes with a 44-win prediction!

Yeah, 10 to 20 might have been more accurate. Some said around 60 and championship contention though!
People are citing stances where it was off by about 8 as if that's a disaster. Obviously it was way off with a few of the 30 teams though and it probably isn't the best system.
Yeah this thread is a joke, I'm not particularly impressed with Schoene as I've said in other threads. I just thought it was very funny it got the number exactly right when even the conservatives among us felt it was significantly low balling the team.
