Where was this when he put up a superstar performance in game 5 of the first round? If he does it again in the 2nd round will you tip your hat to him?

a superstar performance does not a superstar make....George is good, but way too inconsistant to be certified superstar....IMO

That true.

When I think superstar I think of Lebron and maybe Durant.

Kobe
Jordan
Duncan
Shaq

Were some other superstars if recent years

Kobe had many awful games and hold almost all playoff dubious records

Kobe is an alltime great 2way player

+1
Gotta agree though, his overall numbers are impressive. He's just all over the scale, though. He'll get 6 dimes and then 0. He'll shoot 65% and then 23%.

Pretty much...He doesn't have enough playoff games under his belt to be called a superstar.....I think the poster who did so jumped the gun by quite a bit....

With that said...How do you come out flat as a door mat for a potential close-out game on your own home floor? As superstar player would have thrived in that moment....

He is and he's won multiple championships as the key player- sometimes he's unlikeable but no faulting his work ethic and passion to win- all that trumps efficiency.

Yup
dk7th @ 5/14/2014 7:15 PM
pierce looked winded going into the first break.

greg anthony: "pierce's footwork is great, it makes him a better athlete and allows him to remain effective at an advanced basketball age."

thats what separates him and carmelo. Yet Carmelo's average salary has always been higher than Pierce

precisely! you know what else? ball and head fakes, guile, and composure. just because he is hated doesn't mean you can't respect his game.

Heat looking like the Pacers last night. Uninspired ball as if the series is over. The mojo has been missing from this Heat team all year which is why I picked the Spurs to win it all....

pierce with a clutch corner three. lots of time left but knicks are showing some real grit here.

Its so funny. Everyone was so eager to declare the Nyets finished and the KNICKS are laughing. What if Nyets push this to 7?

its not a freudlian slip. To some its the Knicks playing the Heat and the Nyets at the Golf course led by JR Smith

dk7th @ 5/14/2014 9:13 PM
bad foul by pierce there on the pick and roll defense.
gunsnewing @ 5/14/2014 9:24 PM
