Yep- they went down as badly as we did versus the spurs near the start of the season!

The Spurs just play beautiful team basketball
dk7th @ 5/22/2014 8:52 AM
okc misses ibaka pretty badly but it is not going to win anything with its point guard taking 24 shots.

barkley said okc needs to shake up the starting lineup and suggested that they move westbrook to sg to make room for jackson. i don't think that's going to work. he also said that both durant and westbrook are not good enough at making others around them better. THAT'S the underlying issue.

i also noted from last night's broadcast that kerr repeats one mantra: if you are going to win you need as many two-way players in your rotation as possible.

Have never understood this notion. Love to watch this team play.

there is nothing okc can do. spurs are a well oiled machine that can go 10 deep. ownership cost okc at least 1 title.

People prefer Shaq Kobe Blake; Showtime, Lob City.
There's nothing earth shattering about 3 touch passes and a layup unless you happen to be a purist.

The grown men are taking the kids to school right now. But SA has been here before and folded.
2 more games can be a long way away.
In channeling my inner playa2, I say the refs step in and do not allow this to be a sweep.

Spurs guys have made less salary than the could of in the open market. Even Parker usually took a bit of a cut to stay. Manu has made a lot of money in his career but his biggest year was "Just" 14mil. He has come off the bench for more than half is career games but of course plays starters minutes. Great teams have that "Havlichek" or "McHale" type greats and Manu is another on the list. Harden could have been that for OKC but wanted to be "the man" and paid like it. Im not going to knock him for it.

Spurs in a way remind me of the "Jeter-Rivera-Posada-Pettit" and if youwill Bernie Yankees who formed a core and stuck with not just with the team but each other. IN basketball, "sticking with each other" for as long as they have really becomes a special type of team. with the Cba as constructed now it will make it harder to accomplish.

Love watching them play and its the closest thing you'll see to the early Knicks of the 70's. Parker has a lot of "Clyde" in him. Not as pretty or as smooth but Clyde was great in the paint and his midrange shot was excellent. Player by player its not a great comparison but the fundamental ball movement and team defense is really a joy to behold.

Agree, that's like basketball sacrilege. The spurs are what every team in the league should aspire to be. It's like poetry in motion.

They are boring because they are playing on a different level and they are making this a boring series. I miss the first round of the playoffs.

I want to see that Dallas SA series all over again. The mavs really showed how good they are and how well they are coached too.

I am hoping that the Miami SA series is epic. It could be the most even matchup that we have seen in a while.

Like Boxing, the Playoffs are all about match ups. It's crazy how Hibbert can be worst than Bargnani against everyone else in the league but turns into kareem when he plays the Heat. On the other side Bosh is a very good player against everyone else except the Pacers.

Well ... Hibbert just needed Bynum to be sent home.

I am thinking that we should sign him and release him so we can also get a jolt.

The two guys that have really impressed me this postseason are KLeonard and Paul George.

Lebron just gave such a strange post game interview. The guy really has a horrible personality.
holfresh @ 5/24/2014 11:25 PM
Bron in previous years use to play with a pace and energy unmatched by any other player in the NBA...Not sure if it's just this season, but he hasn't shown that burst of energy in quite some time...

Sometimes I think he's just learned to pace himself, like a lot of great players do as they get older, but he has looked weirdly disengaged at times in these playoffs.

Heat know how to demoralize their opponent- play like trash, get behind, pull even by half time then run away with it in the 4th. Still, I think this is the last year they make the finals (their support players are ageing).

the interview with doris after the game? it was fantastic-- he is showing how much he has matured as a man and that he will make a great coach one day.

Nice bounce back win for OKC. They are a different team with Ibaka
