The Pacers look done. Does this even go 6?
Wow. Horrible call on Stephenson. Refs changing the momentum with back to back questionable calls.
I am honestly considering stop watching the NBA..
I stopped watching wresting when the level of fake became too much..
some things can be ignored but this is too much.. the refs are just going out of their way to find fouls to give miami.. The NBA also has done nothing to stop the flopping.. classic example wade on that stevenson drive which would have cut the lead to 9..
lebron, wade, chalmers, all disgusting level of flopping... really can't respect that and the NBA has been full of shyt when it comes to doing something about it... they haven't enforced the flop rule and it is worse than ever..

lets be honest and consider this... for better or worse... you need superstars to win in the nba, whether you like it or not. given stephenson running his mouth to no avail, his price would be down i'd think... we should try to get him if possible. he's a ny product and would probably thrive here.
and lets be honest about your considerations... you are not really considering it. that would be like you considering giving up carmelo hate. you enjoy both too much to give it up.

JVG is great at calling out the bad calls. I thought things had changed the way most of the first round was officiated but things seem to be the same as when Stern was running things.

You can't possibly bitch about the officiating after the way Indiana played today and after Stephenson's flop the other day. It's something everybody in the league does...

Pacers benefited from plenty of BS calls in last years playoffs (Hibbert rules), so as much as I hate BS foul calls, it serves them right!

flopping is just a fine, right? Which is really not a discouragement for players at the salary structure. I always thought that technical should be assessed (could be done after game) and those add up to disqualifications.

seriously, I just don't say things to say them. I already stated I would stop watching the knicks closely and this year I cut back a lot on watching the knicks, and I will devote more time to other teams until this franchise wakes up..
As far as the NBA, I will start watching less games... I think this you need stars to win is a product of the stern era and why teams like the spurs are truly a joy to watch, and it will be a huge loss to the NBA once that team breaks up, meaning duncan and ginobili calls it quits..
As far as carmelo, I don't like him on the knicks, once he is gone, i won't have to ever mention his name again...
As far as lance.. would love to have him, although I think he said he really wants to stay in indy and they would be foolish to let him go..

which is why I will give silver some time. tough to make these changes in year one.. but If I don't see changes starting next season, I will call him out as well...

everyone in the league does not flop.. but if that were the case, does that make it acceptable?

please don't go there.. and how does it serve them right? no team should get jobbed on bad calls.. your frustrating seems to come from them beating a knick team that wasn't on their level.. the knicks were not robbed, they were dominated by hibbert and george and lance.. that is clear..

It is a series of fines and eventually possible suspension..
Players will get a warning the first time, then be fined $5,000 for a second violation. The fines increase to $10,000 for a third offense, $15,000 for a fourth and $30,000 the fifth time. Six or more could lead to a suspension.
the problem I have with this is the lack of enforcement.. hell mario chalmers should already be out 30k and suspended because that fool flops every moment he is on the court..
And think of this. If you are the owner of a team, and a player flops, but that flop leads you to a win and a trip to the finals. You might be inclined to have a fex ex package show up at that players crib with 5k cash stuffed inside.. LOL...
now if players had to miss games, that would hurt a bit more, money could not replace that...

It would be nicer if they can do during the game or perhaps after each quarter.
Fines were a good place to start but it certainly is not enough of a deterrent.
I don't blame the heat at all, they are just playing to the flawed system.
The four biggest floppers in the game off the top of my hear are:
Lebron
Harden
Gallo
Ginobli
All time it has to be the one and only Reggie Miller.

The tenor of the series was changed on the non calls when Melo got into the lane..Indy was the better team but those non calls make it non competitive...
There are ball calls in every NBA game...I see it against the Knicks in every game because I'm partial towards the Knicks...It's part of the game like free throws..U have to adjust...Indy yap too much, can't feel sorry for them...They are mentally weak..They are quick to point fingers when the going gets tough...
Some pretty dumb comments by Paul George after last night's game. And this is after he said that Lance should tone down the talking...

If you're going to deny the blatant Pacer/ Hibbert favoritism in last years playoffs (not just against the Knick- heck, one of Silvers first actions was to issue a memo clamping down on the Hibber rules! What does that tell you?!), then I'm going to deny last nights biased officiating- obviously your love of the Pacers is blinding you. The Heat are a better team...
Pacers are a perfect example of a team that couldn't handle success (a lot of people can't, theres a lot of pressure and temptations)- Hibbert cracked under the pressure, PG and Lance got arrogant and lost their focus.
Poor officiating aside, the Heat absolutely DOMINATED yesterdays game. LeBron and Bosh were outstanding and it had nothing to do with the officiating.
Hibbert scored ZERO points and (i think) only had 5 rebounds...pathetic.
Indiana is a weak team and as much as I like P.George, he is nowhere near "superstar" level. After watching Indiana in these playoffs, I would take D.West and L.Stephenson before P.George. Seriously...if this was the performance they were going to give, they should have given up in the second round and let the Wizards advance.
I had the Heat winning this series but no way did I think they would do it 5. SMH
