wow. they are really hoping that he comes there yet none of their trade scenarios include any picks. Funny ... fans are all the same.
wow, they have already given up on this year. You'd think with that team they could get past Portland in the first rd.
We can't let Morey fleece us. I want parsons, Lin, Asik and a 1st rounder or 2
Id do that deal
Asik Parsons Montejanus picks 25 and 42
then
Chandler to OKC for Lamb Perkins and OKC 22. Bam rebuilt and waiting for free agency. If we got enough pieces like that--Lebron in 2015

I don't know if we can get Parsons and Motiejunas and their 1st rounder but I'd sure as hell like to try!
It depends if Morey thinks Houston can win a championship NOW. If so I don't see why he wouldn't give up picks. Picks aren't as useful for championship contending teams. From reading that thread they seem to be in love with Melo, but they also have him as a third option, which is appropriate.

Having the league's 2nd best scorer as a third option is "appropriate"? In what dimension of reality?

Yeah. In the 68 pages of the thread I missed the third option theme.

You think Chandler can get all that? if that's the case keep Melo and send that pkg to Orlando for Afflalo.

Add Montijuenas to that package and lets roll!

Lol, that was my impression as well.
I saw many mentions of him being first option and Harden moved down to 3rd.
Fans are emotional.

Sold! I've had a man crush on Afflalo (and Nelson) for 2 years now. Both would be perfect for the triangle. Getting them would be difficult though because I think they'd want a running-mate in the backcourt with Oladipo, which would be hard to find. I don't know what his position is and he seems tragically flawed but they seem to be intent on keeping him as a starter.

That we are. I'm not sure I'd drop Harden down to the 3rd spot if this scenario happened. In spite of his performance yesterday, Dwight is still pretty limited offensively. IMO, him being 3rd fiddle is idle for him since he goes long stretches without being able to create a shot for himself.

This is why we will never win a championship. We are so fast to bring someone in and twice as fast to see them go for nothing. We have a star in Melo and yet we can't see that. 10 more years of doom and gloom. Oh thats right Phil Jax is bringing in LeBron.

Papabear,
don't act like the talk hear is anything valid and "We are so fast to bring in someone in and twice as fast to see them go for nothing"......Thats just fan talk, the reality is the outcome by management.
Regarding melo being a "star" or not, well some posters have dedicated their lives to promoting that, or tearing it down!

If Melo decides he does not want to play here--do you want to get nothing? That package would be somewhat comparable to what we gave out to get Melo--not as good but we arent in the best position. If we put really good pieces in place and competed made the playoffs we should be able to acquire a high quality free agent in 2015. Our team led by Melo this year having his best year was 37-45. Id rather he stay but this is a free country last time I checked.
