TMZ Sports has obtained audio of Sterling making the racist declaration during a heated argument on April 9th with V. Stiviano ... after she posted a photo on Instagram posing with Magic.
Sterling rails on Stiviano -- who ironically is black and Mexican -- for putting herself out in public with a black person (she has since taken the pic down). But it doesn't end there. You have to listen to the audio to fully grasp the magnitude of Sterling's racist worldview. Among the comments:
-- "It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with black people. Do you have to?" (3:30)
-- "You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that ... and not to bring them to my games." (5:15)
-- "I’m just saying, in your lousy f******* Instagrams, you don’t have to have yourself with, walking with black people." (7:45)
-- "...Don't put him [Magic] on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don't bring him to my games." (9:13)
Sterling has a documented history of allegedly racist behavior -- he's been sued twice by the federal government for allegedly refusing to rent apartments to Blacks and Latinos.
He was also sued by former Clippers exec Elgin Baylor for racial discrimination -- though a jury was ultimately not convinced and shot down Baylor's case.
Sterling has been separated from his wife Shelly for years. She remains a key player in running the team and sources tell us she's "mortified" by Sterling's comments.
We have made several calls to Sterling and his people ... so far, no word back.
I'd recommend that you listen to the entire interview to understand the scope and context of his comments. This is why its irksome to hear idiots talk about how we live in a "post-racial society" and don't need things like Affirmative Action. There's a difference between your run-of-the-mill racist and a Donald Sterling. In a world where money dictates politics, men like him can really erode at the progress made in years past.

I heard the rumors too but there is nothing like confirmation, to dispel all doubt. I came off judging his girlfriend harshly because you know she was fucking him but gold-diggers got to eat too I suppose. Then again, I use to have sex with someone who didn't like Black people so am I really better? The heart wants, what it wants.

I generally use the barometer of people who still consider Barack Obama to be "Muslim", "Kenyan" and/or "the anti-Christ" as an indication of people who share Bundy's sentiment. According to different sources, that accounts for approximately 20%-50% of a certain political group. I suppose the better question though is to think of what could be done about it?
He's disgusting, and has a long history of being disgusting- thats why when people say Dolan is the worst owner in the NBA, I think they must have weird values.

Yeah I usually don't like to throw the term gold digger around but It's hard not to have that thought sneak in your mind when you look at her and then him.
As for Sterling, I don't know what the NBA can really do about this to be honest. The players can do something but I doubt they will.

honestly i hope doc rivers and chris paul and whoever else on that team has a meeting with sterling after the playoffs. this is so over the line that it needs to be addressed.
From what I got from listening to it was that he didn't want his GF to put up pictures on her social media of her with minorities(Even Magic freaking Johnson) because his associates, peers, probably family members as well, wouldn't approve of it.
He doesn't have a strong enough character to distance himself from that. Which is interesting to me as we often talk about minorities and a lot of the gang and street culture that they have trouble escaping. But never heard a billionaire talk about a specific culture that he can't escape.
The fact that its a culture of very wealthy people is even more alarming. How much influence do these raciest billionaires have in society?

This is exactly how the Supreme Court thinks. They struck down voting rights laws and the next day a bunch of states made it harder for black people to vote.

Wow. The audio just makes you queasy. You hear this guy's insecurities just pour out. He acts like he didn't know she was part black, literally says she's a white girl? Well it is LA… id he think she was just Italian or Armenian? Says she can fuck minorities if she wants, but don't bring them to his games or put it on Instagram?!? You'd think the beef would have been over Magic being Laker blue, not black. Race and sex and power dynamics and now social media: it's like the 18th century and the 21st at the same time.
I feel bad for the Clippers players and staff. Now you have calls for them to do something about it when they are just trying to focus on the Warriors…

Racism is not black and white(Drum Roll!). Slave owners were undoubtedly racists right? Well they sometimes had sex with black women. I am no expert in this field but I would say they tolerate races. They hate black people but if they had a chance to have sex with Beyonce I think most of them would. They hate black people but if they had a chance to make money off them they would. This might be the reason why Sterling was so cheap with his team until recently. If he had to tolerate black people why not make money from it.
