He is very disliked as a person- I think thats one of the reasons he struggles to make trades- other GMs can't stand him. For example after he had just beaten the Mavs to sign Dwight, he straight away phoned Cuban and asked if Dirk was available- Cuban felt he was gloating and being an asshole.
Wow. Could see him being disliked but didn't know about the Dwight story. Hope he has to eat Lin and Asik's contracts next year.
There were also some articles saying he had annoyed other GMs to the point they wanted him to eat those Asik and Lin contracts and not help him get rid of them. To be fair, he did address the Mavs thing a few months ago claiming he did it innocently and didn't realise how it might come across to Cuban- so he's either a deliberate asshole and a liar, or has no social skills or awareness!
Yeah ... Mister Poison Pill. Bit of a prick move.
The biggest prick move of recent times was Kahn signing an obviously damaged Brandon Roy to a multi year multi million dollar deal that he knew he couldn't fulfil for the sole reason of getting revenge on the Blazers for matching Batum's offer from the Twolves.
Kahn was desperate to sign Batum and even tried to make a trade with the Blazers, which they wanted no part of. So he went and signed Roy, knowing that if Roy played x amount of games, insurance would no longer pay his salary (because it would show he was medically fit to play), meaning the Blazers would have to pay the tens of millions still left on his contract!

Yeah ... Kahn was just a dumber prick. Morey is a really smart guy.

Morey is smart, but part of the GM job is keeping good relations with your fellow GMs, otherwise it makes them more reluctant to trade with you- eventually it will catch up with you. I think the same thing happened to Pritchard when he was Blazers GM. Again a smart guy, who overlooked the importance of old school good relations with the folks you'll be making deals with.

no argument there. I think the poison pill contracts failed and will certainly not be forgotten.
It is never good to think/know you are smarter than everyone else.

2 iso guys on the same team...bleh!

Howard..smh, that dude is an avg center among the all time greats. In a league dominate by guards and sf, Howard should be easily avging 28 and 14
He's not even going to make the HOF when all his said and done. I'm not impress by anything houston does, I mean they give Asik and Lin stupidty contracts, they oust Lowery, they add Howard (2 centers in a small ball league) now they're talking about bring in Melo.
Talent is just 1/10th of a championship team
