Magic seems like an undercover douche. That tweet was totally uncalled for. I'm not sure what's going on behind closed doors, but Magic has been particularly vicious with MDA. He might just be taking out his anger for Jim Buss on Mike. Either way, he needs to apologize.

Classless. How is MDA the one to blame for the Lakers sucking the past two years?
MDA was simply trying to do his job. He didn't put those teams together. I really think Magic was classless with his comments about MDA. People don't even realize that last year the Lakers had a winning record with MDA as Coach. With all those problems last year MDA went 40-32 and made the playoffs despite Howard not buying in and his coming in without a Training Camp with the team. This year that team was a hot Mess and MDA never had a chance. MDA needs a young team that has a PG. He's made some bad choices with the Knicks and Lakers. Neither team supported him fully and he was caught in the power plays with the Lakers. If they weren't gonna commit to him as coach then it was better that he leaves.
Magic never liked the signing and expressed his opinion plenty of times on camera. He's speaking like a fan, but he's not just a fan like one of us. He's Magic Johnson. He can't submit to trolling. He can express his pinion differently. Like maybe that he wished him well but he never liked his coaching philosophy. That would be fair. These guys are funny. You would think he would know better.

Exactly. How dumb can he be? Look at the class that we saw from Doc Rivers and Kevin Johnson this week with the Sterling debacle and look at how magic has just made an ass out of himself.

It may have had something to do with the media reporting that the Lakers were bringing Dantoni back. It wasn't working with dantoni and another year wasn't going to change that. Also, the lakers could have had Phil but Jim buss chose dantoni. That would be hard for any fan to accept.

I agree about Nash but Kobe was playing insane minutes at a very high level when he was hurt. I have to hope that Phil would control that a bit. Also, the game Kobe got hurt he went down hard two times before finally succumbing to injury I believe. He should have been taken out even if he insisted on playing. If I remember correctly, the announcers were shocked when Kobe came back in. That was a really tough game to watch.
Don't believe LA was a good fit for D'Antoni, but that was rather classless of Magic. Not the behavior you want to see from a possible future owner of an NBA franchise.
Social media will be a slow death for a lot of stars. I'm sure when Magic sent that out, he tried to delete it. He wasn't thinking and only re acting to the moment. But I said this would happen when Dan phony was hired. So I'm not too surprised at magic the fan. But as magic the icon, he really needs to learn how to manage his perception. Especially after being involed with this Sterling stuff. His stock just dropped a notch. But once he's on record with another large donation, he'll be ok. That's the difference between a good guy making a mistake vs a bigot with a long negative history like Sterling who also made several mistakes. No need for details anymore.

Speak for yourself. None of us here are planning to buy an NBA franchise. Magic is, and that's not how a future NBA owner should conduct himself.
What a putz. Hopefully he apologizes. MDA may suck without a roster tailor made for his "system", but he doesn't deserve ridicule. Magic should step away form the douchebag line and re-"Class" his act.
