D-Will started it, few years ago when his SOFT "100 Million-dollar Man" Self came to NYC and you cant even play
much less shut his mouth.

Now we got P.Pierce and KG arriving in NY Tried to finish it. BUT NETS make it all about negatively of KNICKS

I am standing up for my Knickerbocker team, is the point of this post. Sure NYK my team got few jerks.
But Last season when Knicks were in playoffs I didnt hear them wasting chit-chat worrying bout Brooklyn Nets.

Same NETs whom got BOUNCED by Nate Robinson & Chi-town BULLs. Same Nets whom nearly lost to Raptors in 7 games.

They had a chance vs HEAT and epic fail. (1-3 down), one to go.

I don't like the NETs and only team disliked more is HEAT.

However this ain't a brooklyn thing like Mr Pierce would like NewYorkers to believe.

Pierce been here 2 seconds & hates the Knickerbockers.
HE needs to get his old' self disdain for the teams like the HEAT & rest of NBA kicking their hiney'.

I'm with you man....

The nets tried so hard to out stage the Knicks that they forgot to make a competitive basketball team. They are kinda screwed too unless a team takes a chance on some of their mixed matched high priced starters.

right off the bat they need to lose KG and Pierce and get their soul back from the devil. They also need to look at trading Deron Williams. They need to consolidate their bench and force some of the stragglers like Blatche, and Teletovic to step up into starter roles.

Nothing to really get excited about over there. All of the Net fans are just proud Brooklynites that can't resist the blind enthusiasm.

They really have nothing going on for them.

The Knicks at least have things to look forward too. I guess it's a wait and see, but I can't see them succeeding with their current make up. Billy King needs to get the team focused on themselves nor what the Knicks are doing

Deron is not easy to trade with his contract so I doubt he goes anywhere. His ankle is a problem but when he is healthy he looks very good.

Blatche and LIvingston are free agents. Not sure about Mirza either.

Garnett is really cooked and should retire.

The big if is how does Bropez return? Like Bill Walton or Kurt Thomas?

The game was theirs last nite but in my view I saw a Heat team rise to the occasion and the best player on the planet showed his stuff.
Blatch looked bad last nite. They needed him and he was not able to score.

Nets I doubt come back from 1-3 but Knicks been home now a few weeks haven't they? They finished ahead of us didn't they?

This is a joke right. The Nets are in the playoffs and the Knicks couldn't get in. The team is a disaster right now. With Melo having a foot out the door as of right now no coach. No pick. 23 million dollar gimpy player and over priced center that can't score of play solid defense. A heavy reliance on a player that can't be trusted, no point guards.

People are yapping about Nets having trouble with the Heat what team out there isn't going to have trouble with Heat.

I agree. Im ok with Kidd longer term (more than one year) but build a team NOW and then grab Kidd was silly.
Heat are a tough team to figure. Nets is easy to say should have been a higher seed and it would have been better for them to have played heat in ECF.

Last night the game and perhaps the series was won in the last 4 minutes and the Heat had Lebron. The defense was impressive.
It would have been interesting to have seen how Bropez could have fit in once Kidd figured it out. Might have continued to be a disaster but it could have put them on another level. We'll never know.

Nets on paper are deep but Heat are the champs and they are playing very well. What Lebron is doing is really quite amazing the last few years and unless the media hypes it, its really not appreciated. They got that look and I can't imagine they would have all that much trouble with the Pacers.

But ya never know.

I tought they would lose to the team they are currently losing to. The heat know how to win big games. Only team with a chance to beat the Heat is a team with Championship experience or a team that is after revenge of a prior loss. Spurs, OKC and Pacers are still the best bet to beat the Heat but I wouldn't bet on it.

Ratner has his 20% of the team and is in the process of selling. he is placing a value of the team at 1 billion.

We can talk all day about a lot of things but the franchise is winning even if they are not on the floor.

Rookie, most owners run the team without taking money out for many years, if at all until they sell. Not saying you should feel good or bad but it take a lot of capital tied up in a team and they take on big debt. 12 mil to buy the team 33 years ago was a lot for a team losing money and had bad TV ratings. Most teams are not net profitable for a long time but as long as revenue increases the franchise value keeps going up, as does the cap so the players are more "partners". If revenue falls one day, owners will lose big time!
