I don't think THJ alone gets it done. He had a good combine and will probably move into lottery.

If we trade THJ, I would much rather go after a real PG.
Then again, its the triangle so who knows.

Real PGs(cp3) are possibly a thing of the past.

Yeah ... pretty much.
But I would be happy with:
Lowry, Dragic, Parker, Lawson, MCW, Wall, Curry, Rubio, K Marshall
Or pretty much anyone not name Felton

I think Lawson will be on the block soon( just a hunch), Rubio and MCW are two of the worst shooting pgs in the league, and MDA makes me distrust K.Marshall.
I do agree though all of them > Felton.

Rubio and MCW really can't shoot but they do so many other things well. MCW will get better and Rubio, I have always been a huge fan of but he certainly has disappointed me.

The sickest measurement is from Merkel Brown 44 inch vertical at 6.35. If you start saying what separates in terms of the physical those 3 guys have done well. These guys have playing talent as well--not just athletes
I don't know about the other guys, but Nick Johnson is somebody I followed for a while, since I used to live in Tucson, AZ. He's going to be a solid lock down defender. Think of Tony Allen with a jumper! Same size, hops and strength. But on offense, he's a tweener.
Defensively, he can guard any PG and most SG's.....I was surprise how good of a shooter he was. And just doing a quick search on Markel Brown, most of his highlights were jump shots, which is pretty good, since he's also a high flyer. But I like Nick Johnson....If he stayed in college, he might've been a higher pick. Right now, he's a mid to late 1st round pick (in our range if we buy into the first round), unless his stock is rising! Tweeners usually don't get drafted very high and the influx of international players will push his down even further, which is good for teams that have a late pick.
my only concern about nick (the nephew of the late dennis johnson) is that hes very very small. I wouldnt call him a tony allen clone
im not really a fan of these NBA combines. i guess its fun and intriguing to watch but im more interested in their GAME ability. Lavine is a freakish athlete...but he didnt play basketball well (despite his hot start vs cupcakes at UCLA)

The two guys who really did well in terms of shooting athletic ability etc.. Lavine and Robinson moved up. In the case of big dog--maybe like THJ last year--he has now moved to round 1 so that combine probably made him 3-4 mm guaranteed dollars. You're right--the combine is only a miniscule part of the puzzle but its still information that is nice to have.

McDermott also cemented his spot in the lower part of the lottery with Hus athletic results. The combine is illuminating in some cases. Guys luje Julius Randle and McDermott who question narks surrounding their physical ability and athleticism can really help themselves. In the case of Lavine, it just confirms what we already knew. I'm not convinced he's a PG but enough people are and that will probably push him into the lottery.
it woul dbe foolish for mcdermott to slide based on combine results. hes a great offensive player
