Love is better, but if we keep melo rather get a star SG or PG
Older versus young
Highly Efficient versus not efficient
No D versus passable defense
I see Aldridge as a better rebounding David West type. So while he is not efficient he still helps an offense.
I'd take Kevin Love but he would have to buy in into playing defense.
Why would Aldridge leave Portland? That team is way better than anything we can promise to be given our cap situation
4 votes for Aldridge yet nobody stated why.
Aside from defense, I can't see what Aldridge does better.
Perhaps it is the injuries??

I don't think there will be any available. Dragic would be great if he declined his player option but I can't see him leaving phoenix.
Love only because Paul Allen will max out Aldridges deal and T-Wolves just aren't a winning organization and Love has made it know he doesn't want to be there. Aldridge had Lillard and the pairing over time will manage an appearance in the Championship in the future. The realistic choice is Love simply because the situation isn't a winning one. But if I had to go after one it would be Aldridge taller can play multiple positions.

so you think that Aldridge is the better player?

I voted for Love, but hands are important to a guy who's main attributes are shooting and rebounding.
Can the triangle possibly run with two 4's?

Love spent about as much time as Aldridge at center and held his own. I think we could also go with a traditional lineup of Melo at 3 and Love at four. Floor spacing would be solid unless Love's J made a sudden disappearance. Rim protection would be a problem though.
It depends. If we keep Melo, I'd get Aldridge because of his length and ability to play defense despite it being far from a perfect fit. If I'm building my team from the ground up, Love because he is the better, more complete player. Yes, he's had problems with injuries but he's only 25 and should be able to get past them.

I hear things like length but aside from being a bit of a better defender, I have not seen one real argument for LA.
