SupremeCommander @ 6/2/2014 1:35 PM
I was at the game too. They put the chase on the jumbotron live. Everyone was like 'WTF is that?' and eventually word of mouth spread. It was an incredibly odd moment
tkf @ 6/2/2014 3:10 PM

I figured you were in riding on 10 year old Carmelo for not passing in the playground!

NYStateOfMind @ 6/2/2014 9:14 PM
I was stationed in Japan, they interrupted the game there too. I think the game was on at 4 AM live, so I was super pissed.

Coach pulls Starks in Game 7, we had a championship.

H1AND1 @ 6/3/2014 10:45 AM
I was watching the game with a bunch of drunk idiots at a high school parents arent home keg party.
holfresh @ 6/3/2014 10:48 AM
I was watching the game yelling at the TV because NBC cut away to cover this nonsense...I think they had the game in a small box at the lower right of the screen...Insane..
NYKBocker @ 6/3/2014 10:51 AM
My moms house watching the game with my mouth open. I was speechless.
Gsus @ 6/3/2014 5:20 PM
14 years old, watching the game on tv, and pissed off when this happened. I didn't even know who the hell O.J. was, and didn't care...I wanted my Knicks!

Thought I'd put this in here.

I still remember Starks post game comment after beating Indiana "the hard part is over, it should be a breeze now"

Ohhhh, John.....

mreinman @ 6/3/2014 6:42 PM
That whole OJ couple of weeks was epic and quite intriguing. I have never seen anything like it.

I followed it daily and actually watched the whole trial. I even went to check out the crime scene on Bundy drive right after it happened.

knicks1248 @ 6/3/2014 7:13 PM
I've been thinking so hard about where I watched the other 6 games.

So true. That's why wasn't upset when Riley left a year later. Rolando Blackmon not getting any burn was just wrong.

JesseDark @ 6/3/2014 11:12 PM
Me and my buddies had season tickets that year and we rotated the games. (Ah the joys of bachelorhood.) That wasn't one of my games so I was watching at home.

Ohhhh, John.....

I remember some controversy about Starks wanting to bring his golf clubs with him on the trip to Houston and the coaching staff being slightly annoyed.

I think it was another series when he "guaranteed a win" but bought his clubs. When they were eliminated I think on the road, he stayed behind and played golf. Starks had a few incidents with management. He was no angel, but thats why he was picked up off the waiver wire!
