Phil openly stated Fisher was a coaching candidate. cant really say that while that person is still a player under another teams contract.

He is on a list could be these are assumptions at best. How about Bulls and Morey with Houston putting it out there that they are after Melo isn't that tampering. JKidd and Nets that is tampering. I'm sorry but that is not tampering.

That could be could be interpreted as a message to sway him while still under contract of another team. You can not name players by name while they are under contract to another team. It would be like saying Brad Stevens could be a good fit. He is still under contract. How does the team know he is coaching with his teams best interest at heart?

I'd contribute my $10 towards that fine cause it is nonsense. Silver's office wants to be viewed as authoritarian. Regardless, I am on the Phil Jackson bandwagon. I don't need him to be perfect in terms of fines or such, I just need him to impose his vision for the Knicks on this organization.
