If they believed in Lin all they had to do was offer him a fair contract right away and be done with it. You never let other teams have a shot at your player. Thing is Woodson and Grunwald didn't really want him. Lin was more of an MDA PG. Woodson was happier with a guy like Felton.

EXACTLY!!!!

Poor Lin and his poor feelings... pleaze.... Had he signed the 1st contract he received and that the KNicks informed him they would match he would be a Knick today... He didn't and decided to pull a boozer type move to get more money and it bit him in the ass... noone to blame but himself.

Now the Rockets will do just about anything to rid themselved of his contract to try and make a run at Carmelo....
For a guy who never really was... He is already a has been....

where did you get that from? but hey I hope they are sucessful, I think lin back in NY makes us a better team than having meloser here..

Just curious, how is that pronounced? Me-loser? Melo-sir?
I'd imagine that came from all the trade rumors during the season from "sources".

Would be glad to see Lin back, but on a contract a little less...ridiculous. Lin and Shump was a fun backcourt.

Linpity if born from the fact he earned his place but since nobody had ever drafted an Asian-American or had one succeed he was typcast.

Linsanity was not just about him blowing up, he blew up because he defied the stereotype and became a "Rocky" type hero. He beat the odds and the stereotype.

The notion he owed us something is ok but its a business and I was fine with what he did. The system is designed so the player can make his money and in the end it was a good story for him.

Make no mistake, the kid all along had NBA talent and went thru hell to earn his spot. At the same time, it would have been nuts for us to take the cap hit his contract would have presented.

If Phil wants him, thats cool.

But, but, but... he might come back to us, and we can hug him, and pet him, and squeeze him, and name him George.
