You all would rather just repeat the obvious like you all just made it up? Nobody thinks the dudes talent can stand out in system basketball? Nobody thinks Jr Smiths above average ball handling, jumpshot, and potential to get in the paint is not worth shit....all you guys want to do is repost the same joke over and over just worded differently? Blkexec even posted the same non insightful post twice....

You guys are a miserable bunch

He's 28 years old, and will be 29 before the season begins, not 19. If he hasn't figured it out by now, and he clearly hasn't, then he's not going to.

how many steps are there to the euro step? do you pick up the dribble and take more than two strides?

You Know what Shump has been trying to figure out the answer to that question forever. 15-18 years ago my friend was doing the "euro-step" at the park but when he did it during school games it always got called for a travel. LOL.

It's funny you mentioned that. ...I know an old school baller I used to play with and that was his signature move. ...30 yrs ago. I thought it was traveling then and traveling now.

Thats the problem ... everyone knows he is a mega all world talent and everyone also knows that he is a bonehead.

The real problem is I am thirsty for basketball conversation....I can't wait for this draft so we can get some movement

i thought it was funny looking but not necessarily illegal. i mean isn't the essence of the move that you change direction on your first or second stride after picking up the dribble? or is there a third stride before the ball is released?

And I think Manu is the only player to ever win every major championship. Euroleague, Olympics, WC, NBA. Heck if he had time for NCAA he would've won that ish too

That alone should have put him in the BASKETBALL HOF before he retires from the NBA!

That is an amazing feat to have all those in his trophy case.

6 inches.
Manu's vertical - 38
JR's vertical - 44

Manu plays with a HOF Center, a top three PG, and is coached by Pop.
JR plays with a HOF PF, a PG who made Rory Sparrow look like All World, and is coached by Krazy Eyes/JKidd/Father Woody

If Jr would grow up he essentially is Manu.... Their skill level is identical. We get Jr Smith to play the way he played down the stretch of last year and the way he played when he won the 6th man of the year, the we have an invaluable talent.

if basketball is 90% mental then jr will always be a loser.

a loser of epic proportions.... LOL

how many chances do you think this moron deserves? really? JR smith is that bad film we have seen over and over again...Honestly if you want a winning culture there is no room for guys like this.. so why should we lower our standards?

And whose to blame for that? Donnie? Layden? Tapscott? or the fact Dolan sucked the team dry for the trade! What about JR himself for not being professional and teams lining up to sign a valuable professional!! who is his hero? JR Rider?

Dude was paired with CP3 in what could have been a dynamic duo for years to come!

Instead, you get: JR in China!

"Dude, Don't let go OK? Damn I wanna go home!!"

Blame? Jr's to blame for Felton, Woodson???

The Trade...Again. So if not for Dolan's sucking, JR could be playing (or not playing) with Gallo, Mayor and Moz? And the lead piece of flotsam in all that trade sucking floated back here for free anyway! Oh, no, wait, we were going to draft Lebron 2 and have more draft picks then Philly without the trade! That's right, we were going to trade Gallo for Durant! Then CP3 and all other desirable starphucques would come here with all that cap space!

Jr was going to be teamed with CP3 and Tyson Changling, remember? And coached by resident genius Lord Byron Scott!

Manu is in a better position, period. Did his professionalism make Tim Duncan into Tim Duncan? Does his brand of hero worship get Pop some free Euro coaching clinic coupons?

Manu's a genius for being from Euro and JR's a sack o sheet for going to China. Got it.

BB IQ/Understanding of the game
All round game (though JR Smith showed great improvements during his contract year)
A great coaching staff that JR Smith has not submitted to
The balance between playing as a 6th man vs a starter
The lack of weapons on the Spur's and utilization of weapons/plays

IF JR Smith was able to develop consistency and played more like he did prior to hurting his knee, he is somewhere between where he is now to the highs and lows of Lance Stephenson/Manu Ginobili/Jamal Crawford
Even his rebounding, DEF, steals, assist (passing game/ ability to create and finish with contact and facilitate), and he needs to go to the FT line and shoot higher % while going to the line with more consistency by ATTACKING instead of doing useless dribbles
