No it isn't. Shumpert is on the books for 2.6 next year and the QO the following year is only 3.8. Obviously it doesn't make sense to keep him past next season if he gets a huge offer sheet from somebody, but this isn't even a concern right now.
I think this is gonna be a huge year for Shump. He's got a GM and Coach that understand him and want him to do well. I think this system will work better for him too. Perhaps if Melo isn't here that may create some opportunities for Shump and others to step up. He's too young to be talking about letting him go. This is the complete opposite of what needs to happen around here from now on. Unless there's some greater value in moving a young player I see no need to even think about it right now.
