The Knicks get Wayne Ellington in this Dallas deal as well. Not saying he's better, but with JR and Timmy Jr....and the rumors that the Knicks are interested in Pj Hartison in the draft.
I see him gone in that OKC deal to get their 2 first round picks
Im a big shumpert fan BUT i think he might need a change of scenery mostly thanks to dolan who had it in for rhis kid since teh summer league thing. If OKC offers that than it it hard to say no. With JR still here and the emergence of tim hardaway im nto sure shumpert will have the minutes

I think Shump is gone but probably for the later of okc's picks. I was hoping the Knicks would go for Ennis but with Larkin and Calderon they probably look at positions other than point guard.
Just a hunch but I get the feeling Hartison is a smoke screen.
Kyle Anderson has to be the target, he has the type of skill set Phil covets.

I'm pretty confident that he's gone. I hope we get two decent second round picks or, at least OKC's 21st. The 29th pick would be a bit of a letdown.

Kyle Anderson seems like a guy Phil would take...he's kinda slow but he's a highly skilled dude at 6'9"....high IQ and would be dope in the triangle

Kyle Anderson is projected to go in the middle of the first round. I doubt we move up far enough to draft him. It would be nice to have him aboard though; he reminds me a lot of Boris Diaw, whose game I love.

I'm thinking Shumpert and one or both of the Mavericks' 2nd round picks could get us the Thunder's 21st and 29th picks.

i agree shumpert is worth a 1st round pick alone. He had a great rookie season and when he came back for the ACL he was really good. Last year he had it rough BUT that was because dolan was bad mouthing him for reasons i still dont get. he still has vale he should get us at least a 1st rounder late

That would be a power move. There will be a really good player available at 21.

Possibly.....I'm on the phone with Pho, first trying to get either 14 or 18....

Now you're speaking my language. The Suns are not likely to keep those 3 picks and I'd love the idea of pouching one or two of them. If that became the case, I'd be thrilled with this Dallas trade.

Agreed. I'm a little sad to see that Latvian pull out of the draft because he'd be a perfect pick and stash player. Even so, there are a number of players that interest me at 21. Uptown has an even better idea about trying to trade for the Suns 18th pick, which would be great if Tyson Chandler was all we started with.

Not for trading Shumpert but that would be a good deal if we are also getting back Bledsoe for Shump, Dalembert & Larkin

Last offseason Suns offered Dragic for Shump. They might still be very high on him. I doubt it would be for Bledsoe though. I wonder if they would be willing eat Bargs contract.
Yall are crazy to want to trade this man..Why on earth would or should we trade him.....every team needs a tony allen, khawi leaonard....When shump got hurt this past year..our defense was horrible..smith and hardawasy couldnt gaurd tim duncan if he was the Pg...If Jackson is smart he would keep out 2 young stars in shump and hardaway and get rid of jr and his contract some how....yall crazy

Tony Allen isn't on the same planet as Kawahi Leonard....Shump isn't on either of their levels.
Just saying that to me says you are a media clone. I don't mean to pick a fight with you but seriously...you don't trade Shump because he can play a little defense? Shump hasn't stopped anyone his whole career. On good defensive play every other game is not a elite defender. Shump is a free agent soon and we will have to pay him. He's not worth the investment....the knicks have to shop him while they can.
besides...Shannon Brown is a better player than Shump is on both sides of the ball and he was out the league before the Knicks picked him up. What does that say? Even Wayne Ellington is an adequate replacement.
Bottom like we have already replaced Shumpert 4 times on this roster as is and we might even draft a player to replace him....so motherfletcher he needs to go!

Agreed
Especially when you are trading him for a late 1st
Shumpert was pick 17!
wow we are calling a shumpert a young star? how many young "stars" shoot under 40% their first 3 seasons and have had 2 acl surgeries? if we are building around shumpert we are in trouble.. he'd be a nice piece to a contending level team, but theres no way we should be building around him. none.

There has been talk in the media about the Knicks not wanting Shump's cap hold next year. Also, Shump has not improved. The scouting report of his weaknesses going into the draft describes the player he is right now.
I can understand the cap hold but you try to get his stock up then trade him. Shouldn't be hard now that he is not "coached" by Woodson
