I think they value Lin over an often injured Amare. I don't see anyone touching Bargs unless they get to offload a multi year deal or we give up picks. I think he's stuck here. I think Amare CAN be moved possibly, just not for Lin.
They just traded away Asik. If they take someone back they will want someone at least as good as Asik was. The guy we have who they might be interested in would be JR Smith.

next to Howard and with an unselfish talent like harden, Bargnani could work for them. Especially for a season since his contact is up after this one. Why is that an unreal scenerio? It sounds like a decent option to improve their talent.

Bargs is definitely the type of player they need. He is a stretch 4/5 that can open up some for Harden and Dwight. Portland just packed the paint with Asik/Jones was paired with Dwight.

This is my thinking. its all about role when it comes to players. bargnani doesn't interfere with howard and provides a mismatch because you cant simply put a small on bargs because hes not quite wilt chamberland but he is still capable. he would actually improve their team pretty well in this role
