Knicks · Alternate plan if we lose Melo for nothing. (page 1)

Get on the phone with Boston Celtics and bring back trade talk of moving Amare for Gerald Wallace and assets. Doing so will cut the Knicks salary for 2014-15 to 47mil.

Use the cap space to sign Greg Monroe from the Pistons. Maybe offer Shump in a sign and trade giving Pistons a trade exception. Giving us a 23 yr old core big man who I feel fits the triangle very well.

Our salary cap after those moves would be 39.5mil for 2015-16 unless we are able to dump Smith freeing up an extra 6.3mil and Pablo retires freeing up another 1.7mil.

We would have Larkin, Hardaway jr, Early, Thanasis, Monroe going forward as young pieces as well as our 2015 draft pick, what ever assets we got from the Celtics and cap space.

Next Year is a transition year. With or without melo we probably wont make too much noise. next year should be about developing guys like hardaway larkin and cleanthony and since we have our draft pick we might get a good player in the draft. Then we have plenty of space for next summer free agnet class
