players really need to take the highest possible salaries to protect the bottom feeder salaries. Really?
Fuk the players union - but they are just doing their jobs aka the CAA.

Wonder if Phil is interested in Boozer? His money is guaranteed so he could sign for the minimum similar to Rahard Lewis last year... I can see Houston trying to sign him.
Got to be under the cap to bid. We are not. If he clears waivers and no one bids we can sign him.

interesting ... I did not know that. He will not last - not a chance.
Sounds like Caspi is going to be released and he wants to play for the Knicks.

Israeli's love NY. Its a pity that he is not a good player.
There is a little blurb in this article about Houston making a commitment to pay Lin's balloon payment in addition to sending a first and second round pick to move him. I thought that teams were limited to being able to spend 2.5 mil annually on transaction. Does anyone have more information on this?

Nice pick up, but did we really have to pay him all of our TPMLE?

Sorry, is this a problem??

Probably because it is only a one year deal.

Probably right but it would have been nice to squeeze in another player at a bargain.

Yeah, because everyone wants to play for 1.65m. What's the veteran's minimum, again?
Is it necessary to complain about everything this team does, even when they do good things?

There are those who complain about everything and then there are those who DEFEND everything. Better to complain about everything if you are gonna be an extremist.

Say whaaaaaaaaat???? That makes no sense at all. Maybe in NY.
Its better to be or try to be objective. Complaining about everything because defending everything is weak is just as weak.
We still have a trade exception at a slightly larger salary slot.
Omri Casspi is ok. We could maybe use another true SF assuming Thanassis is going to the Europe or the D-League. Id take him for the veteran min.
Casspi? Good Community pick. Too many Heeb's going to nyet games these days!!!

Also, Berman said the Knicks still have their bi-annual 2.2 mil exception.

lemme rephrase. Its best to be objective and open minded. If you feel that you cant be objective and open minded, it is best that you question every move instead of circumcising them.
On a side note, the Knicks are again being praised by the media for the Smith signing.

Layden or Isiah would've given him a 5 yr full MLE deal. This guy is better than Jerome James. At a 1 yr deal its a nice signing.
