dont we all miss those years? Folks bashing MDA for not properly using him? The endless Rooster vs. Mayor debates on who might make the IR list all star game first?

Its funny, but Jordan Hill, Trevor Ariza and Channing Frye all made a ton of money this offseason.

Peyton Silva released by Detroit Pistons
He isn't the greatest size PG, not superior by any means physically, but he can play
Has the leadership qualities of a PG, with enough speed/quickness, BB IQ, and is a pass first PG

There are a lot of PG's still out there but if we are looking for a CHEAP PG, that we can lock up for 2 years with team options, and contribute now, while being part of a future role (like a Charlie Ward role player)

Likely MLE, 3m +, possibly slightly less around the 2.5-2.7m +

Other PG's include Sessions/Bayless that would cost the MLE, a trade (which could be possible with Buck's looking to unload Ilyasova)

Mo Williams
Jameer Nelson

With vet min PG's like
===========================

Aaron Brooks
Ridnour
Bo McCalebb
Peyton Silva
Bobby Brown

PG/SG
==========

Shelvin Mack/Garret Temple/
Etwan Moore/Marshon Brooks/Jordan Crawford/Jared Cunningham *was comparable to a poor man's Westbrook at one point as a 1st rounder*

Darius Morris/Tourre Murry

Undrafted this summer
============================

PG/SG
-------------
DeAndre Kane/Sean Kilpatrick/ Kendall Williams, are all LEGIT PG's but can also play SG that needs to be further developed

Scoring PG/SG
Deonte Burton, comparable to a YOUNG Raymond Felton with a poor man's Dwayne Wade like physical abilities in athleticism, explosiveness, strength, ability to penetrate and finish with contact

SHOOTING PG's
--------------------
Bryce Cotton (if doesn't make SA Spur's roster)
Markel Starks

Smaller PG's
------------------
Aaron Kraft
Jahii Carson

So he'd rather play in Utah for $5mil than here for $3.5mil?

Did Berman or Isola report we were possibly looking into S&T with Wizards

If so we would have been willing to pay additional Tax dollars on Booker?

jrodmc @ 7/15/2014 2:25 PM
I can't wait for Toure Murray to sign for somebody's MLE. Then we can add him to the list.
BRIGGS @ 7/15/2014 2:31 PM
Jeff Adrien to Houston 1 year
smackeddog @ 7/15/2014 3:16 PM
Looking like Kris Kardashian is going to the Wizards in a sign and trade for roughly $13mil over 3 years. Not finalised but getting there. Seems like 20min bench PF's are getting $4 to $5mil per year.

Thats why I wanted Cory Jefferson. I dont see what they did not see in him at 51 and 57???

I don't understand why they bought that last second rounder and then essentially didn't pick anyone who's ever going to play for us. I thought we were interested in Patric Young (which would have been sweet)

And it should. Dirk is an exception but it would be nice if more players did this. Think about how much more he will now be appreciated by the fans.

I am getting that nauseous feeling again ... ugh

All I can say is that Melo better perform. It really is all on his SHOULDERS

Sources: Mike Miller will sign with Cleveland. 2 yr deal with player option after 1 yr. Miller turned down more $ from Houston & Denver

Wonder if Phil is interested in Boozer? His money is guaranteed so he could sign for the minimum similar to Rahard Lewis last year... I can see Houston trying to sign him.

praising old players taking less is not exactly saying much.

secondly it is problematic from the players union standpoint. the more players earn at the top the more other players at the bottom earn. they have somewhat of an obligation to ensure the lower tiered players get paid better (helps increase the total allowable salary cap).

also, funny how owners complained about players making too much but continue to "overpay" for A LOT of players.

melo is in his prime. he did take less than he could to help the team a bit which should matter.

yeah, everything will be melo's fault or credit no matter what.

sheesh.

mreinman @ 7/15/2014 5:50 PM
players really need to take the highest possible salaries to protect the bottom feeder salaries. Really?

Fuk the players union - but they are just doing their jobs aka the CAA.
