I thought the Russian would try to get Lin to stick it to the Knicks. Did not think Sixers would want him either.

Morey is a class act.

I'm not a big Lin fan, but that is an absolutely classless move, but then again Morey is an absolute d***!

The only chance they have is if they blow Gordon away with a near max deal? That still might not be enough to scare Utah away. Hayward at $10M per sounds about right. Anything more than that is overpaying. That said, I'm pretty sure Hayward is going to score at least $12M per.

Funny. Feinagen tweeted a picture of Melo's limo leaving the Rockets meeting. I wonder if this means that they are going to reconvene at a later time.

I don't get why any team would max out Hayward- it's like Mike Dunleavy jr all over again!

I read they were proposing a big 5 to him- harden, Dwight, Melo, parsons and another, most likely Lowry. No idea how they'd pull that off, but it would be a disaster for us.

If Melo walks and we get nothing it would actually be kinda funny. Dohlan with a very expensive lesson in what not to do with your franchise.

Nalod @ 7/2/2014 5:04 PM
Kyrie just got max. Haywood and his school boy charm and good looks is the face of the franchise in MoManLand.

Its about selling tickets also.

Who is worth the max anyway? Seems the real Max guys are the ones taking pay cuts.

Former Nets point guard Kenny Anderson apparently has some NBA sources with good information -- he spent his Wednesday afternoon tweeting about Carmelo Anthony after the Knicks free agent continued his free agency tour. And if you believe Anderson, there's some good news to report:

Was there ever any doubt? This is Melo we are talking about. Has he EVER done anything to show that it was not all about the money?

well he is going to be held to his word by jackson about accepting less from the knicks and that is crucial. but you're right he is quite content to pay lip service to winning, changing, doing whatever it takes, etc etc.

no wooing, no courting, no max.
